Schemes generally have an end goal for the person running it and low quality men don't have the power to run this kind of scheme. Enforced monogamy with no acceptable alternative for either party benefits the powers that be greatly. Married men work the most hours and families with dependents consume more goods. Patriarchy in this case feeds an industrial machine that demands constant growth. This is why "Milennials are killing X" has been the Op-Ed song and dance for like 15 years.

The only difference is low value men are the end users who most directly feel negative consequences of this because the dynamic that replaced it essentially exerts the same social pressures with no social benefit to them.

Patriarchy is what occurs when fathers actually care about their children. As young women will destroy their own lives if left to make their own choices when they have no idea what they are doing. Fathers and mothers should guide their daughters into a good marriage early so they can establish a strong foundation for their family. Alas modern men and women hardly care about their own children, shoveling them off to government run daycare and brain washing facilities to prepare them to be obedient cogs and consumers for the machine.

Patriarchy isn't created by low value losers. They can't create shit if they could they wouldn't be low value losers anymore.

In any event if a guy wants a patriarchal relationship, if he makes himself high value, has a great career, and is offering a traditional relationship their are A LOT of women who want this arrangement. Who want to be a stay at home mom, a house wife, and kept by an attractive winner. Those are the guys who can create patriarchy. The low value guys can't do that and don't want to do it. They just want infinite casual sex like they see on the pornography they are addicted to.

Low quality men would be rare and near non existent if we had true patriarchy like that of classical Greece and Rome in today’s day and age. If they were around they would be shamed and ridiculed rightfully by their fellow men. Women would probably be a lot happier and more content en masse too.

Patriarchy doesn’t exist, you might need to demonstrate that it does.

You can equally argue that men being in charge is because historically men had to do all the work and take all the responsibility of a family so it made since that whoever leaves the house to make money would be the one you’d see doing all the work in jobs, then be the ones who would rise to the top. Men died in the army, so it’s hardly shocking men, and not some woman walking by, rose to become a general.

Home and family would be the matriarchy. The mother rules the roost inside the home. Controls pretty much everything.

But let’s say you’re right in your assertion. Even if, historically, there was this thousand year plan to make men do all the work in society while women stayed at home and did nothing, as some weird flex to make women financially dependent for sick sexual pleasures since women were forced into marriage as recently as 2015, and my own mother with multiple degrees and businesses was clearly a dependent sexual object, which is another way of saying they didn’t have to do anything but have their lives paid for by someone else, it isn’t the case now.

It doesn’t matter what happen in 1350, 1850, or 1950, so why does it matter in 2020. Now women don’t have to do that, they can work, and fuck, and go to college to learn man-hating 101, like everyone else.

In fact, in agreement with feminism, not only should the financial dependency you’re referring to not be happening, it shouldn’t even be an option so women never fall into financial sexual servitude with those LVM.

Women should not even have a choice to stay home all day doing nothing. Everyone especially the lazy, should have no choice but to sit in that cubicle, decade after decade while the state parents the children during the work day. As if anyone should be able to parent their own children which I also disagree with.

I mean it. I sit at home all day, and do the 20 minutes of housework by pushing a couple buttons on some machine (literal slavery) to do all my work. Then I decide and plan lunch. That takes a couple hours. Listen to some podcasts, take care of a pet. Watch a movie.

I barely accomplish anything. No one should live that life while someone else gets to go to a job all day then expects gross sex when they get home.

Smash the patriarchy. This slavery is appalling.

For actual patriarchy you need to look no further than to Muslim majority countries where polygamy is still legal. In those countries low quality men have no access to women as they are monopolized by the more influential men who take multiple wives. This is one of the reasons why women there are subjugated and why many young men turn towards radicalism. The West has never been a true patriarchy and it is certainly far from being one today. Arguably women have more privileges than men at this point.

Well, first of all I don't think the "average redditor male" wants a traditional setup (women not working, only one sex partner for life, etc.)

But for those that do, sure I think you are a bit right. I think that subset generally thinks that it will benefit them.

That said, suppose you were an ugly male redditor with a high income and no romantic history or prospects. You feel like you aren't getting what you want out of life and you feel like society doesn't care about you. Yet society sees you as a "have" and taxes you highly. Maybe there should be a tax reduction for people that are considered too unappealing for relationships. If you aren't getting much of a benefit from participating in society, then maybe you shouldn't be expected to contribute as much to it.

The only reason women have any kind of independency from men is because they became dependent on the state, AKA indirectly dependent on men.

Because if the majority of the male population no longer believes that society as it is right now is good for them... well they will change it. And you may not like the change.

That's a very narrow view of the Patriarchy. There is nothing "low quality" about being a patriarch. You have to provide/protect for your family and build a legacy.

Patriarchy is how you build legacies and empires. Without patriarchy there is not much reason for men to become their best. Why put your life and health on the line if you are not going to be head of your own household? Why work yourself into an early grave when you are just going to lose it all in a divorce? Why work overtime and go the extra mile just to have child support take it all?

Patriarchy also helps females because they get someone to provide and protect them. Feminism has done nothing but destroy the family and turned females into single moms and lesbians.

I disagree; patriarchy is an emergent proper where societies that order themselves to make men make money and make women make children demographically outcompete those that don’t.

Historically patriarchies tended to outcompete egalitarian societies because they had high economic and population growth. Makes sense; rather than optimizing for being sexually attractive to women men optimized wealth and caring for their kids and being pro social . Compare the patriarchal Han to the egalitarian Mosuo.

This scheme broke down once women could provide for themselves. It may be making a comeback however; the only groups that sustain demographic growth after the demographic transition are patriarchal religions that are somewhat isolated from secular culture such as the Amish, Haredim, or to a lesser extent Mormons. Even in the Middle East Conservative Muslim women have a growing fertility advantage over their secular counterparts.

I’m not saying this is a good thing; I love my hedonistic lifestyle and restricting women’s freedom is a wrong. In the end nasty societies often succeed.
