That's pretty much how men viewed women in the old days.

Men knew their place was to establish the frame for the family to follow. The women would Charm the husband to the best of their ability in the hopes of gaining some influence, but it was never a Shit Test.

This concept of there being something INSIDE a women that was supposed to be wonderful (Oneitis) wasn't present in my own family. My father never looked up to my mother.

I'm 54 and my mother is now 80... so this is coming from someone probably near you fathers age.

Yeah... things were more ordered... natural hierarchy was the default.

The world with the dominant Feminine Imperative didn't exist yet.

However... my Aunt was masculine way ahead of the modern age (she's 90) and her husband was fully Beta so there was such a thing as the henpecked husband back then and it was something most men would feel ashamed of. Few were like this, so Beta existed, but was rare.

I find there are 3 levels of conversation and, accordingly, 3 types of friends you can have (in that regard):

Level 0 - Talking about people

Level 1 - Talking about events

Level 2 - Talking about ideas

Those deep conversations you're having about philosophy and outer space and transhumanism? They're level 2 conversations. They're worth a lot and not everyone knows how to have them. The next level is still interesting; most relevant news, travel, and things you do with people tend to fall under level 1 and strengthen your bond as humans. Level 0 is simply small talk; it's "how about this weather?" and the problem I have with most sports conversations (people think talking about "games" is a level 1 conversation, but really they're talking about athletes like they talk about celebrities, level 0).

I find that most women are stuck at level 0. The ones who think they're "much smarter" than their peers might dip into level 1. I've never had a successful level 2 conversation with a woman.

Because women stop maturing at age 18. The saying, women, the most responsible teenager in the house.

Strictly speaking, any intellectual maturation beyond those teenage years will be at the detriment of finding a suitable mate. Men have, and always will be attracted to youthful radiance, unperturbed beauty and naive innocence. All men dream of having a virgin bride.

Your dad is right with regards to conversations with women being mind-numbingly boring. But he is wrong in saying that there is no fun to be had when speaking to a lady.

By being playful, treating them without seriousness, & teasing them, you'll find this to be equally as fun as deep, intellectual convo with one of your beer buddies. As an RP man, depth, ability to switch things on the go and live in the moment goes a long way.

Don't be too harsh on women. They have no need to hold a deep intellectual convo. They just need to 'shutup and look pretty'.

For years I tried to meet girls who I could have honest intellectual conversations with. I have not met a single one. I've met girls who are excellent conversationalists and can make it seem like they're engaged in what I'm saying (especially if they want me to like them) but never any that actually presents ideas that help me learn and see things in a new way.

Even the girls who were intelligent never said more than information they simply parroted from whatever source they knew. I've never met a woman who engages topics from multiple points of view and weighs the arguments and facts. With activist-types its usually a laundry-list of sides they take on any particular argument.

Learning all of this is part of the push that moved me to becoming a MGTOW. I would date a girl, lose interest in 1-2 months due to a lack of mental stimulation, then break up with her. Over the years I've becoming increasingly more intelligent and the mental gap I feel with women has widened.

I think the real problem is that we've been trained from a young age to seek intellectual connections with women when it's nearly impossible. The funny thing is, I would love the "ideal" type of feminist woman if she existed and was at least decent looking. The very image they project themselves as doesn't exist.

Most women make shitty friends anyway. I maintain some friendly relationships with a few women. I'll go out to parties or something and do the typical "hi how are things?" but for the most part, women don't make a "friend" like a man does.. Trust me, I've tried it a billion times. I grew up in a house full of women (only male in the household) so I was always pretty comfortable around them.

Not to mention, they'll try to fuck you as soon as you have a girlfriend.

Am I the only one who has gf who is as clever as me? And honestly I think she's maybe a bit more intelligent. We have deep convos about politics/philosophy the whole time. She's more into those convos than most of my guy friends actually. In fact, that's pretty much why we're so good together: I'm one of the only guys she knows who will actually debate her on stuff instead of a just agree thinking it will get me 'in there'. She even says she likes me because I don't always agree with her. Not that she has stupid opinions on thing s, she can sometimes change my mind, but I'll call her out on any appeal to emotion she uses.

My guy friends just aren't as interested in politics/ current events. It's strange.

I don't know. Ever since I started reading up on Benjamin Franklins life and how many women that guy slept with I've kind of learned how to enjoy my time with women. Personally though I have always felt naturally comfortable socializing with women.

I truly enjoy the time I spend with the girls I plate. If you're not enjoying yourself then you shouldn't be wasting your time with said girl. I've met a ton of girls I could have had sex with but didn't pursue because I couldn't stand listening to them talk.

A few years back I went out with my father to a bar that was filled with a lot of women in their early twenties. He wanted a drink so we went to the only bar nearby I knew of.

He was astonished at how fat and how awful women looked. They were wearing clothes that were trashy or too small, they were out of shape, loud and wore clown makeup. He made a face and said how awful women were these days. It was embarrassing.

At the time I was probably ten years older than the women. It was probably the closest bonding moment I had with my dad.

There's only been one girl I've ever been able to talk to about actual intellectual things. Every time we hang out, we wind up talking about sex, religion, or politics. I've actually been able to have more intellectual conversations with her than a lot of my guy friends (maybe I need better male friends). I understand that on that front, she's pretty much 1 in a million.

Problem is, she's a 6. 7 at best and if she lost a few pounds. I would argue that girls have a higher probability of being intelligent if they aren't super attractive.

I don't marry my car. i know that in a few years it will be older and outdated, and i will be tired of it. i don't ask my car what i should do with my life. it's a car. she can't know the answers, only i can. so i'll take her to nice places, let people stare at her, fuck her later on and then go back to thinking about reality (my girlfriend)

I think this is 90 percent true. There are some exceptions though- my girlfriend of five years is incredibly smart, 4.0 in college, got a great job out of college, has been moving up the ladder (shes only 23, and a senior copywriter at a large pharmaceutical firm), and can actually talk about politics, technology, music and pop culture. Shes attractive, but not supermodel status, a solid 8. Shes honestly great. Theres a reason ive been with her for 5 years when I could have jumped onto another ship more than a couple times. I agree that most of the modern American girls are complete dumb asses though.

The other day, I was hanging out with one of my friends. He's the type of the guy girls throw themselves at, but he bleeds Blue like Hell(that day, he told me that he would proudly date a single mother and support her child and considers himself a feminist). When I told him that I don't get along with girls because they basically have nothing else to offer me than sex(meaning, I don't orbit), he asked me if I was gay and called me a psycho.

I've actually had many female friends over the years. I find women particularly useful to have around when it comes to health, nutrition and spiritual issues.

I get why people say AWALT but let's face it, some women are just basic bitches and some aren't.

Right now I am dating an MD. She is smart and educated, and she is able to apply her expertise in a nurturing role that accentuates her femininity.

She pulls all the annoying female bullshit that people talk about here, and because I follow this sub I am better equipped to counter it.

But despite all the shit testing and insecurities I say she brings a value to the table beyond sex. For instance, she has me eating better and taking vitamins, she gives me creative new cooking ideas and she's introducing me to Tai Chi and Qi Gong exercises.

When you weigh that against the added stress and drama I would say it is a net positive.

Pretty much what i tell every girl i know in my life. They always ask if were friends and i always tell them no we arnt because i refuse to have female friends. because no matter what my boys will be able to have a better and deeper conversation no matter what, and they just accept it.

While I'd agree this is the case for the majority of girls and women, there are a few here and there who aren't so shallow, who actually do have interests other than maintaining their appearance, and are actually decent human beings. They are definitely the exception though and not the rule.

I was in the gym a couple months ago and there were two early 20s blondes on the treadmills. This gym is a free one-room area part of the apt. complex I live in. It is stocked with exercise equipment, a weight station and free weights. Nothing to brag about. Small but it's there. So I normally go without any headphones while there and this day was no exception. Try as I did, I could not tune out their shallow talk and bitchy, entitled personalities. It was painful listening to them. They did not have the bodies or the beauty to even begin to possess those entitled personalities. I could barely stand to be in the same room listening to them. I can't even imagine trying to be with them for more than the time it takes to get a BJ.

as a women id agree! :D alot of women do seem very fake :p and the same , i think alot of people more women though are very fake and try to "fit in" instead of being who they are :P As for the interest thing omfg ikr?! I dont wanna talk about makeup i wanna talk about marvel, dc, videogames, art, food, animals, stunts, and random ish not just makeup and drama and OMG they take so damn long in the shops XD i went once with my mams friend and my friend is a dude she said that im worse in the shops then her sons XD lol and opening up is good but there arent alot of good people to open up to :P usually to vent i do it online or by art XD
