It's not even on their minds. It's a luxury to have a life where one of your concerns is how much tang your son is getting. They've given up a familiar and safe life and left their country and gone to another one where they can't speak the language, where there is not a familiar face for thousands of miles. The second generation does not have the luxury of failure. They are burdened with their parent's sacrifice and have a greater responsibility to become successful in this more opportune country.

Immigrants and their children are playing a different and higher stakes game than families that have been established comfortably for generations. It much more basic. You don't worry about sex when your starving, and my parents starved. Think about the psyche forged in that condition. Sometimes I get angry at what my parents made me put my focus on growing up. But I know their story of what it took getting to America. I question would I have the strength to move to an unfamiliar Asian country alone and start a new life? Could you do it? I understand it.

I come from an asian family where my dad was a beta and my mom was forced into being alpha. After swallowing TRP years back, i essentially became the alpha lead of our household and was able to repair the relationship between each member of our family. My parents of course will have their input on what I should be doing with my life but they realize I am a credible person and they dont really need to worry about me in any regards.

The whole study hard, get a good job advice affects woman detrimentally as well as men. And when they finally finish their studies around the age of 30 and finally begin their career, they realize their parents were wrong and are stuck with an very unhappy/unsatisfying future.

Canada is an anomaly. In the city where I live, Indian guys have a weird thug culture going on. They have full on street gangs complete with turf wars and drive by shootings.

In the highschool I went to they were always getting into fist fights, selling drugs and there were a few police incidents with them bringing guns or knives to school.

They are mostly Punjabi so I guess the culture is different from the Hindi immigrants to the US.

It's almost like they filled the role of black people since there are hardly any blacks up here.

Although wierdly enough they still managed to keep family values in tact. You hardly ever see Indian teenage single moms.

I'm an Indian guy (as you can probably tell from the username lol) at a large college in Texas and nearly all of my male Indian/Asian friends lift, are very social and relaxed, and largely RP. We date both in-race and interracial girls.

You are right about the parental friction though. My parents, like so many other of my guy friends', wanted me to be pretty submissive to the woman's wish and I was raised "to be a good husband". So breaking out of that mold and claiming my own manhood did tense things up, but our parents are getting used to it :)

I am not sure if this is true. I live in Central NJ which is about 25% Asian/Indian across 5 countries. I also went to college in the city (NYU) which had a large population of Indian and Asian students. I always liked Indian girls for their exotic features but found that many of them were only dating, hooking up with or interested in Indian guys. Indians and Asians in my high school and college formed tight knit groups and all knew each other. Their primary friend groups were formed based on their race. We had a kid on my H.S Lacrosse team who was Indian. All of us on the team became great friends by senior year except him; he only hung out with us during practices and team meetings and used his large group of indian friends as his main social means. Looking at his facebook now, nearly all of the hundreds of photos he is tagged in features him with attractive Indian guys and girls. This is how many Indian and Asian guys I know behave- they are all nice guys but they primarily only hang out with people of their own race. In my experience, Asian and Indian girls who dated outside of their race were the minority and as a whole, not nearly as attractive as their counterparts who exclusively date and hook up with Asian men.

If you went to a diverse university with a lot of different Asian and Indian frats you would have noticed that these guys were highly sought after by the smoking hot asian and indian sororities. Asian guys who do complete the redpill transformation tend to have amazing relationships with their family. They wind up becoming the patriarchs of their extended families. As an asian american, this is also a HUGE mystery to me. I actually directly asked my parents and some other older folk I am close to. I make an effort to socialize with them at asian potlucks instead of playing xbox (partially because i puke if i play first person shooters haha). From my perspective, aside from the fact that my dad was pretty much non-existent in regards of teaching me how to be a man, I think the issue is that Asian families that recently immigrated to a country, I'm 3rd generation, the first being the immigrant one, are so concerned about making sure that their kids have the best tools in life, education wise, that they neglect they fact that we are people, people that live in a society, a society that even if you have all the education in the world, will eat you alive if you don't know how to play the game.

And it's all because they didn't have that opportunity, for example, when my grandfather came to this country, he was a mere employee in a plantation, then over the course of 30 years he managed to open his own business, still he had to work his ass off every single day, hard labor, no bullshit, because of that my mother and my father had the opportunity of going to college, but they still are mere employees. My parents witnessed how hard my grandparents had to work so they pushed me education and career wise to try to secure my future.

Now the biggest difference is that my grandfather and my father, both married asian women from a tight community, and in Asia men do not seek women, women seek men for their value, so I think that they subconsciously assumed that the same thing was going to happen to me, so they neglected my education social wise.

Now here I am, with no idea how to play the game, basically beta as they get. Well, sort of, I don't consider myself beta anymore, but I'm still not alpha of course, my mentality might be alpha oriented, but big changes take time.

I've an interesting relationship with my parents in that I've always been defiant. Early on, I've said crazy shit like how I didn't want to marry, but instead impregnate a different girl on every continent and that I've no interest in serious relationships and would rather focus on improving myself.

I don't really talk to my dad and I don't know what he thinks of me and I don't really think much of him. He's not alpha, but not traditional beta either. He's just kinda weird, like basically forever stuck in RP anger stage and never takes any action to get out of it, and he's too stubborn to help out, and honestly, my mother is wiser and far better at making decisions. I believe that he's extremely burnt out with a fried brain and had plenty of natural alpha that was greatly suppressed during the cultural revolution, which he never recovered from.

My mother encourages my RP thoughts other than when I mention getting surrogates from different countries. She'd rather have me settle down with one woman who's 100% devoted to me and allows me to play the dominant male role. She's fine with me not having an official marriage, but still try to have a stable life with one faithful woman with good genetics who would raise the kids.

Another thing she thinks is that if I'm 35 and settle with a 25 year old woman, she'd be a gold digger who cheats me and she'd rather see me settle at 30 with a 30 year old woman. So in a way, she's still looking out for me in a RP way, but not fully agreeing with me.

I think Asian parenting does encourage beta bucks behavior in general, but your parents and grandparents actually do know many RP truths and if you've always been a defiant troublemaker, your parents will treat you differently in a way that facilitates RP growth if they realize that they cannot break you.

Different groups have different backgrounds. I'm a Punjabi Jat, nobody stopped me and my cousins from messing around with girls. We all had girlfriends, or girls we were fucking with. My cousins used to take me whoring when I was a teenager, our parents knew what we were up to. My cousins are older than me, they married Punjabi girls but young ones, 20 - 26. I think you're gearing this towards the ultra strict FOTB/traditional families. The typical no BMWs; Black, Muslim or White.

The others, who're not as strict tend towards saying you can have fun with other races but not wed them.

These tend to be split in 3: one which encourage BB and others which encourage short term AF, but long term BB. Also there's an extremely, extremely small portion (I mean those who're super Western) which tend to encourage a more alpha type of dynamic.

Then you get the rare (I stress rare) ones who're so chilled that they DGAF which ones you hook up with. But again it is broken in 3: the ones who encourage you to be BB; short term AF, long term BB; or the ones so far removed from tradition (extremely Western) which gear towards an alpha dynamic.

For those of us who like to say we're exceptions to the rule, or say we know exceptions to the rule... you'll come to appreciate your exception when you see how through every possible "stream" there was a chance of being molded into BB.

Lets be honest, parenting is one aspect. But a lot of Asian/Indian guys are so self-defeatist that they've already lost the game before they've even started.
