At the end of the day it's all about money, the upper class versus those below them. Now, I'm not saying that I have hate against wealthy people (I don't at all) but that's the reality. Your status in this world is defined by how many resources you have. Money being a pretty fucking effective resource.

Go your own way, work smart and work hard, create wealth that you can pass onto future generations (if that's what you believe in), be a respected person, make a change in your local community (people don't pay enough attention to local politics, you'd be surprised the amount of shit you can get away with at a local level if you have money + connections).

That's my advice, but its your life and you're free to believe and do as you wish.
