EDIT 12/10 12:22 EST - Milo appears to be running late. Rest assured we'll sticky the thread when we begin.

British journalist, Breitbart writer Milo Yiannopoulos, who is well known for his coverage of Gamergate and defense of the masculine in the media will be here Dec 10th at noon (EST) for an AMA.

Special thanks to /u/CisWhiteMaelstrom for doing the legwork.

Don't miss it. It's gonna be good.

Let's not waste his time, gents. I got a pretty good question for him, you should as well.

[–][deleted] 30 points31 points  (2 children) | Copy

Up-vote this. We need to be prepared and not waste the man's time.

Does someone have a recommended reading/watch list so we can get to more specific/valuable/current topics than re-hashing what he has already said?

i don't understand, this is the red pill, what question would i have for a gay guy? don't get me wrong, i like watching his videos & reading his articles, but an ama on redpill? huh?

[–]L33TPWNERS 2 points2 points [recovered] | Copy

His sexual orientation means nothing. He is an avid red pill follower/defender , and all of his political oaks line up right next to ours.

I encourage you to look at his work and generate a couple of questions because if you don't you're missing a fantastic opportunity

[–]zpatriarchy-2 points-1 points  (0 children) | Copy

i already said i'm very familiar with his work. He's a great man, but i'm not asking a gay guy any questions.

[–][deleted] 263 points264 points  (119 children) | Copy

It's amazing how our biggest public defenders are a gay guy and a woman. The little ironies in life are fantastic.

[–]Sdom1102 points103 points  (99 children) | Copy

Irony, or the tyranny of identity politics?

Milo would be a fantastic defender even if he were straight. If you've ever seen him debate, he's quite a swordsman. You don't face him and escape without a few cuts.

[–][deleted] 162 points163 points  (7 children) | Copy

However, if he were straight, he would be dismissed outright. Milo confuses the opposition because they don't want to dismiss a marginalized homosexual, they're forced to at least hear him out.

[–]Cheveyo51 points52 points  (6 children) | Copy

It's rather enjoyable to watch his opponents. You can tell they're just DYING to scream obscenities at him.

But none of the ones that could be used on him are very PC.

The best part is that he knows this. So he can go full diva and there's nothing anyone can do about it.

[–]satanicpriest1338 points39 points  (3 children) | Copy

Good on him for fighting the good fight to be honest. He could have cashed in his gay points and reaped SJW sympathy, but he is more manly than most men today. His talents are better spent on defeating the feminist agenda than talking about microagressions against gays. Loads of respect for him for embracing who he is yet being rational.

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points  (1 child) | Copy

He does all the time:

Look, I don't even care, I dont' have skin in the game on this fight.

He has a variation of this on most interviews

[–]Subcommandante_Khan8 points9 points  (0 children) | Copy

Yep, its a winning strategy.

Only a fool would not play to their strengths.

[–]srtor1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

He is like 'The Daily Show'. You can't attack it because it is actually a comedy show. But it delivers all hard hitting news and criticisms.

[–]worldnewsrager11 points12 points  (0 children) | Copy

Wait.... You're saying that the man who has said 'I think my god put me on this earth to infuriate SJWs" knows he's getting under their skin?

[–]DogeMcDogeyDoge2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

So he can go full diva and there's nothing anyone can do about it.

As Milo himself said, "As a gay or lesbian you can get away with anything, especially bad behaviour!"

[–]doublereignbeau4 points5 points  (0 children) | Copy

I've read he is quite deadly with a katana.

[–][deleted] 14 points15 points  (83 children) | Copy

I don't like him much to be honest.

He argues the point until he runs aground on something then uses the gay card "I am absolutely fabulous hahaha darling" to wriggle out of it a tactic he shuns feminists for, being strong and assertive on point, and when losing revert to "I'm just a girl".

I can respect what he's doing - and that's building an empire, I don't really believe he is sincere for "The cause" whatever that would be. The AMA will be interesting none-the-less.

That closing speech was excellent but damn he moves around a lot.

[–]ILoveSunflowers1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

Joe Rogan said he thinks he's on speed

[–][deleted] 16 points17 points  (61 children) | Copy

He's generally good at trashing women because they don't know how to attack a gay man, I drew my conclusions from the JRE podcast, I have heard him be well presented and slick in often smaller segments but the meandering nature of the JRE podcast had more than a few cracks appearing in the armour.

I compare him rightly or wrongly to a negative version of GayLubeOil - GayLubeOil I believe is riding TRP to earn an income but does legitimately care about the issues contained therein and for the welfare of his fellow man. I believe Milo can and will just abandon the current wave he is riding the second it becomes profitable to do something else.

I don't deride him for that, I'm merely pointing out that he's a smart businessman - which I can respect but not admire. I find Karen Straughn to be much more interesting personally.

[–]Senior Contributorcocaine_face18 points19 points  (15 children) | Copy

He's trying to build an empire AND defending men? How is that not to admire?

[–][deleted] 7 points8 points  (14 children) | Copy

Because I believe he would happily deconstruct "men" if there was a counter culture wave for him to ride doing that too. I guess we will just have to see. The takeaway message is don't advocate taking women off a pedestal only to replace it with a gay man in it for the money.

I'm merely cynical in the true sense of the word.

[–]1BoogersAreTasty0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Do you see that someday, Milo will be to the TRP community what David Brock became to the conservative community?

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points  (12 children) | Copy

He's a bit of a degenerate too. Not for being gay or anything like that, per se...but for some of the things he's into. I'm not going to elaborate.

It would be nice to have a good role model for the young ones.

[–] points points | Copy

[permanently deleted]

[–]Archaellon10 points11 points  (8 children) | Copy

Sorry; why are we hating on him for this?

If that's what he likes, more power to him. Kinda sad seeing this shit on TRP. Nor do I understand the comments above alluding to insincerity, he could have just cashed in on being gay and articulate and would be a much bigger deal if he were on the other side.

This guy was fighting our fight since way back when he was working on news broadcasts of all things, it's something he seems genuinely passionate about and there's nothing to really indicate otherwise.

Take this shit elsewhere.

[–]Primemale-1 points0 points  (1 child) | Copy

Yeah he's decadent as fuck, hardly a role model. Every other sentence is about getting fucked by black guys or sucking dick, or a sexual innuendo, he's TYPICAL is what he is. He is above average intelligence so he can think about arguments and articulate them better than the average Joe, but he is far from the best for 'the cause'

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

but he is far from the best for 'the cause'

I disagree. The flamboyant gayness makes him untouchable to SJW's, because he can just fall back upon "I'm gay, stop oppressing me" narrative.

In other words, he's a perfect propaganda tool.

[–][deleted] 11 points12 points  (19 children) | Copy

I know GLO personally, he breathes TRP shit 24/7.

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points  (18 children) | Copy

This is the impression I get. I would rather it be GLO on TV than Milo.

[–]Senior Contributor: "The Court Jester"GayLubeOil29 points30 points  (17 children) | Copy

My onscreen presence needs a lot of work and I'm doing my best to develop this skill.

[–][deleted] 37 points38 points  (9 children) | Copy

I don't know why you're fucking about with T shirts.

I've heard nothing but good from your skype calls and you can articulate about a variety of topics and you obviously have a gallows humour. Get on Patreon and let me pay you £1 for each video you do. Get 500 of us doing it, make 3 videos a week.

I don't want a T shirt, I want to give money to something that has actual value.

Your thoughts are more valuable than something made in China.

[–]Senior Contributor: "The Court Jester"GayLubeOil14 points15 points  (2 children) | Copy

My Shirts are printed in the United States on American Apparel blanks which are also made in the United States. The illustrations are created by a professional out of London. So to be honest with you I worked very hard to create a product with lasting value because I believe that it is a reflection of myself and my brand.

I went to a factory and felt a bunch of different shirts to figure out what feels and fits the best. I also worked my ass off trying to find a good artist which is really fucking hard.

However point taken I understand what you are getting at and I am moving in that direction.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

Another kickstarted video campaign. promise 12 videos, and spend the next 3 years at the UN complaining, and release 3 videos.

Sounds like a solid career path to me

I guess you are the most vocal public figure RP has at the moment.

too bad the whole of our contributions is to tell the MRA movement to go fuck itself, and start lifting fatty...

[–][deleted]  (1 child) | Copy

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points  (0 children) | Copy

disagree. Only because trp is about theory AND application and making the most of what there is and manipulating the fucked up world to your favour.

Milo, doing what he does, implies he's trying to change that. He'd be miles better than /u/GayLubeOil at representing MRAs I'll give him that, because their ideology aligns better with him.

Too tired to explain it any simpler.

[–]worldnewsrager6 points7 points  (8 children) | Copy

nah... it's not just women. He obliterated some male university academic not long ago. Fucking just left him for dead. It was glorious.

[–][deleted] 9 points10 points  (5 children) | Copy

Male university academics are women. I hadn't seen this debate though I'll add it into the rotation thanks.

[–]2rp_valiant4 points5 points  (0 children) | Copy

he's a critical theory professor no less.

[–]Subcommandante_Khan2 points3 points  (2 children) | Copy

What a shyster. The madness of this whole dogma in academia is a complete rejection of the obvious facts of life. Religious idealism by other means.

[–]worldnewsrager2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

What? You mean you don't agree that if someone feels victimized, that that means they WERE victimized?! Color me shocked.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

In the time of empire it was pragmatic to teach the gifted how to think. In post empire it's only purpose now with little exception is to teach the average what to think.

[–]2niczar1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

You're thinking of the clowns in sociology departments. Look at Chomsky or Dawkins, that's a different story. By the way, hard to find more of a bleeding heart liberal than Chomsky, but he's been kicking SJW butt decades before they were called SJWs, back when it was merely postmodernism.

Our views are not incompatible.

[–]Endorsed Contributorgekkozorz2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

Milo is Milo. If you doubt his sincerity, check his twitter feed.

If his whole "being a flamboyant faggot" thing is merely a bit, I think you'll be surprised at just how committed he is to this bit.

Also, this: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CQbhJ8DUAAAY60z.jpg

Christopher Hitchens (is better).

[–]tallwheel-3 points-2 points  (6 children) | Copy

No way. Karen would mop the floor with Milo if they ever faced off in a debate.

[–]RedPillMagazine1 point2 points  (5 children) | Copy

Not likely. Karen is great and all, but Milo is off the cuff funny a lot more. And that always tips the balance.

[–][deleted]  (4 children) | Copy

[–]RedPillMagazine0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Being entertaining has a lot to do with being invited back, or elsewhere, which increases exposure. And winning a debate in logic, while losing the audience with boredom, is a Pyrrhic victory at best. So many people get autistic when it comes to this stuff, I don't get it.

It's serious topics, yes. That does not mean people want to listen to some guy drone off facts for 22 minutes. Milo gets more exposure than Karen (and both get more exposure than any straight male in the movement) because he is provocative and entertaining - more so than Karen, likely because Karen doesn't strike me as an attention whore, whereas Milo does.

But entertaining and provocative, as I said earlier, ALWAYS tips the balance.

[–]tallwheel-1 points0 points  (2 children) | Copy

Exactly. Karen also backs up her claims with more hard statistics and historical facts. She has tons of them to pull out when she needs them too.

Besides, Karen isn't completely unfunny either. She has a sense of humor. Come to think of it, watching Milo and Karen riff off each other would be frickin' amazing.

[–]PedroIsWatching2 points3 points  (2 children) | Copy

I actually just got done listening to the JRE where Milo was on. Jesus, Milo got insufferable when he was getting triggered by Rogan challenging his religious beliefs. It also revealed his style of filibustering an argument he's losing - stalling while slipping facts and quips in every so often so you don't realize he's stalling.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy

He's very good at what he does, he's like Katie Hopkins reversed.

The best manipulation is the one that you weren't even aware of.

[–]Subcommandante_Khan2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

It's very easy to tell when he gets cornered, he starts fidgeting, touching his hair, starts muttering really fast. Everybody has a tell. His are pretty obvious. Usually he never comes up against anyone with his level of incisiveness.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

Yeah for some reason on JRE he was acting like a dick - normally he's better. I thought he was really good until I saw him on that - had to turn it off half way through...

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points  (0 children) | Copy

U have any more Milo Yiannopoulos debates like that? I enjoyed watching that

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

There's a solid minute at about 59:00 where the awesome ginger moderator kid is personally identifying with Milo's description of MGTOW. He's focused like a motherfucker.

[–]L33TPWNERS0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Watching the debate now, at 40 mins in, the topic of male circumcision came up and he made a joke about how he prefer circumcised, because he has to look at them. it's not a big play of the card but its still there, ever so subtlety.

It's nothing to dramatic, and I love his style of debating and he hit a home run on every single point.

[–]blacwidonsfw0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

At 28:30 he delivers a fucking awesome blow when talking about wage gap and she mentions "girly scientist" and he demolishes her.

Another even more fatal blow at 36

[–]prime_zero0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Thanks for the links. Damn, that was a great speech!

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points  (0 children) | Copy

He uses the gay card to highlight how ridiculous the left is. He's got the card that trumps the woman card so he uses it as a bludgeon to show them how ridiculous it really is.

[–]selfsufficientnigga1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

I am fine with that. Fight them with their own weapons.

[–]deepfriedcocaine0 points1 point  (5 children) | Copy

Link? I'd like to think he'd say that ironically to point out the irrational power of pulling an "-ism" or "-phobia" card in today's society but I haven't seen the video. If so, and if it worked, it'd probably prove his point (but at the expense of nobody noticing).

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (4 children) | Copy

[–]Subcommandante_Khan4 points5 points  (3 children) | Copy

You should give a specific point in the interview. Most people are not going to sit down for 3 hours and watch this.

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points  (2 children) | Copy

Without being an edgelord5000 i'm not concerned that most people won't listen to Milo for 3 hours except to reflect that if you want to enter into an AMA with him you kind of owe it to yourself and to Milo to listen to the JRE podcast no matter your bearing on what I am saying about him.

Memory serving Joe cornered him on a matter and Milo then went all effeminate whilst claiming he had a 6-some as a 15 year old and has drunk loads of cum, the feigned outrageousness used as a tool to distract from the line of questioning came up about half a dozen times.

[–]Subcommandante_Khan4 points5 points  (0 children) | Copy

Good point. I remember that, both on the circumcision and religion issues. I'm not surprised when your average person has some dumb closely held belief that they won't budge from. Religion never was about logic.

He's good at bird-dogging the left, a shitty job that I don't want to do personally, so I appreciate it.

[–]TRPShill-2 points-1 points  (0 children) | Copy

Ive seen the whole thing. I recall Joe being a bit of a dunderhead and Milo gracefully trying to end the subject because Joe was ignoring his arguments

[–]BoTuLoX0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy

then uses the gay card "I am absolutely fabulous hahaha darling" to wriggle out of it a tactic he shuns feminists for, being strong and assertive on point, and when losing revert to "I'm just a girl".

Would you suggest writing a thesis for debating with SJcunts? The ones whose ground is supported solely by these petty victim tactics?

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

Disengage from them, don't give them air time.

They're fire and every time someone talks to them we pour petrol on them. We don't elevate westboro church by debating them, we shouldn't debate SJW either.

You cannot reason someone out of a position they did not reason themselves into. SJW are mentally ill, they truly are and so you can't grapple with them or debate them, same as feminists you cannot ever change a feminists mind. How many YouTube fights have you seen with feminists or debates where one of them has said "oh wow you're right that's bullshit"?

The entire Anita Sarkeesian thing is such an obvious scam she can be dismissed with nothing more than "OK dear".

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

That's how you play the game when you're fucking with the public media. If he didn't do it as well, people wouldn't hear him out.

[–]Primemale0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

I'm with you, and a side from what you've mentioned, he's got that typical decadent way of being that a lot of camp gay guys do, where every other word is something about getting fucked by black guys, or sucking dick, yeah we get it Milo, your queer, I personally think he is a pretty terrible man for ''the cause'' but at least someone in the media is talking about it so reps for that, I Spose I just don't really like him as a person.

[–]ILoveSunflowers0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy

He's been known to Gish Gallop

[–]Sdom10 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

What the fuck is a gish gallop? Gotta love British slang.

[–]nikeforged-1 points0 points  (2 children) | Copy

Gotta listen to him talk to Rogan. Dood might seem on the ball for 5 min interviews, but give him a few hours and it'll change your opinion I bet. It changed mine.

[–]Sdom10 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

I listened to the Rogan podcast. Rogan wore him down when it came to his schtick, and also was digging at things Milo didn't seem to like to discuss.

Remember that Milo uses identity politics as a shield and that causes him to emphasize or play up certain things.

[–]Subcommandante_Khan0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

I don't judge someone's usefulness in terms of any single belief I find incorrect or irrational. In the culture war sense, if someone can be an icon while simultaneously confusing and deflecting criticism of your enemies then you use them to your advantage. I look at him purely from the Machiavellian angle. He assists my cause. Then entire right, right now, I regard in the same way that they obstruct the left. They have their use.

When Republicans were in power I regarded the left in the same way. They prevented the excesses of the right when possible. Our system is based on gridlock and ideological warfare. Any time you see a unilateral domination by one party of the entire government is when you see crazy shit get passed into law.

[–]TRP VanguardWhisper6 points7 points  (1 child) | Copy

That's no coincidence.

Our biggest external advocates are a bisexual woman and a gay man, because if they weren't a bisexual woman and a gay man, they would be us, getting all that lovely hateraid right along with the rest of us.

/u/girlwriteswhat is shielded from criticism by her vagina. Milo is shielded by his metaphorical limp wrist. We all say the same sorts of things they do. We can be dismissed as bigots spewing "hate speech". They can't.

The trick is to let that work for us. Let it train us not to care about it. Better yet, let it train us to crave the disapproval of cowards and idiots as the sincerest possible flattery they are capable of.

Bask in the hatred. And one day, you will discover that most of the men capable of doing anything useful are standing on our side of the great divide.

[–]rpscrote0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Better yet, let it train us to crave the disapproval of cowards and idiots as the sincerest possible flattery they are capable of

So much this. I've found the best indication of my success is others unjustified jealousy and hostility.

Drink those sweet hater's tears.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

It's because they are the only one's allowed to have an opinion on the matters. If you are a straight male, you aren't allowed to participate in the debate because you are automatically a shitlord blinded by his privilege.

Being gay or a woman is the only way to dodge the sexism accusations in today's society.

[–]BlackPhoenix013 points4 points  (0 children) | Copy

It completely messes up the Politically Correct narrative.

Black and conservative? You're not a real black person and you're an uncle tom sellout.

Female and anti-Feminist? You don't know what feminism is and you're not a real woman

Gay and anti-liberal? Gee, I don't think the regressive left has come up with anything to take that down yet.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (4 children) | Copy

What is this, MRA? GWW and that femenist 'filmmaker' do not speak for the community in any way.

He doesn't really either, he is just anti femenist, not pro RP.

the closest we have to a public spokesperson was Roosh, until he told RP to go fuck itself, and then rag on homosexuals and american girls with neo-masculinity.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points  (1 child) | Copy

That is why I said defenders and not supporter or member. Karen Straughan even defends TRP against other MRAs. While I don't agree with everything that Karen and Milo say, the great war right now is between rationality and insanity.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

meh, it's a little heavy on the 'validation of others' side of things for me to care enough, but good point.

[–]rpscrote1 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy

Dont forget Rollo Tomassi (The Rational Male). Great writer with remarkably keen insight. Maybe not as "public" but still public enough as a manosphere leader. He posts here too

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

I was referring to those who primarily deal outside the manosphere

[–]ECoast_Man2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

In fairness, they both acknowledge that. Milo has said repeatedly he wouldn't be taken seriously if he wasn't blowing black guys.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

Amazing? No. A product of social justice politics. If our biggest public defenders were men, they would hold no credibility in our current climate. It should be the same for all groups. Someone with no stake in the game hold far more credibility.

[–]StarDestinyGuy0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy

Wait, who's the woman?

What about Gavin McInnes?

[–]Dtingthrowaway-5 points-4 points  (1 child) | Copy

How is it ironic that a sub full of gay men would be defended by a gay guy?

[–][deleted] 7 points8 points  (0 children) | Copy

[–]DoesNotMatterAnymore19 points20 points  (0 children) | Copy

True, but let's not forget that I've got massive tingles every time, when he crushes some random female feminist journalist on TV. In a debate, where his opponent has 0 chance against him, usually they can't even keep up with Milo's rational explanation.

Will you be taking questions for those of us that cannot make the time? or nah?

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points  (0 children) | Copy

If you tell me what it is then I'll ask him him for you when he does his AMA.

[–]playofthegods19 points20 points  (3 children) | Copy

You can tell he does in his convos with Roosh, or Gavin McInnes. Milo does his best not to talk publicly about the subreddit for good reason. Rule 1..

[–]TRP VanguardCyralea8 points9 points  (2 children) | Copy

I suspect the same is true with Joe Rogan. When you listen to them speak, they channel nearly the same language we see here. They're savvy enough not to reveal their ties to this sub.

I remember some discussion about Milo a month ago or so here on TRP. This should be good.

This is awesome. Milo is one of few journalists that openly criticize the feminist agenda. Good for him i hope the AMA is productive.

Think Milo speaks a lot of sense and is pretty enjoyable to follow on social media, but Jesus Christ it's embarrassing watch straight men fawn over him like 6 year old girls do over Justin Bieber.

Nevertheless, I'm looking forward to his AMA. Good work in getting him on.

[–]Sdom121 points22 points  (5 children) | Copy

A lot of that is joking, and plays into his schtick.

[–]1bradyo20 points1 point  (4 children) | Copy

I think some of it is hyperbolic, a lot of it is disturbingly sycophantic though

When it comes to their articles about SJWs and insane feminists, they seem to be on target. Like pretty much every news site in the world these days, take everything they say with a grain of salt.

Plus, it was Milo/Breitbart that gave us those brilliant Sexodus Articles (part 1 and part 2) a while back.

[–]emergingred2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

Suddenly I've been watching Milo Yiannopoulos videos for an hour now. Where has this man been all my life?

[–]Raskolnikov18172 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

Milo was my conversion from feminism entirely (was on the fence between feminism and mens rights) but I think seeing somebody who, like me wasnt posturing with some macho bullshit on the side of men was what really got me and suggested that it wasnt just men angry they couldnt get laid.

That and he is adorable and I want to kiss him (im drunk and reading his artciles at midnight)

[–]1mr_nate_2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

I read the name Milo, and thought to myself (not being too familiar with him): "Wait is it THAT guy?! Could it really be?" And then I saw that it IS that guy. This is going to be amazing, I can't wait. What a fucking boss.

Defense of the masculine... by an elite worshiping catholic brit homosexual who thinks genital mutilation is great 'cause he likes to suck pretty cocks. Can't wait to miss it.

[–]DONT_reply_with_THIS4 points5 points  (1 child) | Copy

Yeah the circumcision talk on the Joe Rogan Experience was unbearable. I understand he likes cut cock, but supporting unnecessary genital mutilation on a new born strictly because of preference seemed off to me.

I generally agree with Milo though. Can't agree with everything I suppose.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

You're taking it way too seriously

[–]attemptist8 points9 points  (4 children) | Copy

You sound a lot like feminists who attack their own support base such as Tim Hunt and other male feminists, women who aren't 'feminist enough', etc. Leave the internal division and henpecking to them.

[–]theredpilluminati13 points14 points  (3 children) | Copy

Someone offering a different opinion is not an internal division. I don't agree with his views on monarchy, abrahamic religions, and circumcision.

[–]attemptist1 point2 points  (2 children) | Copy

That's fair enough. I got the impression you didn't think he should be here because of it. Whatever our differences, he does a good job of wrecking feminists.

[–]theredpilluminati2 points3 points  (1 child) | Copy

When one has a ridiculous position and defends it with ridiculous evidence as feminists do...pointing out how they are ridiculous is not heroic. If he wants to think critically he should question the validity of a system of government based on who's vagina you fall out of...he should question if humans are born with a stain of original sin and should be punished for it. He defends those positions so I question his motives.

[–]Swelfie3 points4 points  (0 children) | Copy

[–][deleted]  (1 child) | Copy

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

Milo makes claims, supported by reasonable evidence, and presents them as a set of arguments to prove or disprove something. Femicows then attempt to negate his reasoning by moving the argument to the Fee-Fee Dimension, where the laws of argumentation do not apply, and discursive re-definition of key terms occur in order to avoid cognitive dissonance and make them think they've won. That, and a liberal heaping of logical fallacies.

I have no time for such Xian bullshit and Xian bullshitters. I'm going to pass on this one, thx though.

[–]worldnewsrager7 points8 points  (0 children) | Copy

So, yea, he's wrong. Ben Sharpiro is a virulent zionist, but I agree with him on virtually all his other arguments, I'm not going to throw away such a staunch Constitutional defender who's quite rational in every debate that isn't Israel, where he thinks 'god did it' is a sufficient answer.

I support him, where i agree with him, and i detract, in areas where i don't. It's that simple.

[–][deleted] 11 points12 points  (3 children) | Copy

you're acting no different from feminists and the rest of reddit who take one bit of information about someone which isn't necessarily even related to the topic and because they disagree with that person on topic y they dismiss any of his views on topic x.

It's pathetic and is about as good as a feminist saying "yea but those red pillers are neck beard virgins". Classical ad-hominem attack.

Or if I have a math tutor telling me you have to show your steps and I tell the guy "yea but you're fat! You can't even count the calories you eat , genius!" I thought we don't do that on this sub.

[–]CaptainObivous1 point2 points  (2 children) | Copy

How insulting that you think that just because I commented on one aspect of his persona that that's the sum total of my opinion on him. And how is my commenting on his Catholicism different than others commenting (getting wet, actually) over his homosexuality? Do you bitch at them, when his gayness is not "related to the topic"? Or is it just me you get pissed at, because my nipples are not getting hard at the thought of Teh Great Milo coming to this sub.

But it's not just his raging Catholicism (which is at least as important to him and his identity as his homosexuality). It's that he's a fuckin' mess of a man and a clown. Listen to his performance on Joe Rogan's podcast and tell me you don't agree. He's a complete mess, a troll and a jackass and his affiliation with men's issues should be a source of embarrassment rather than pride. Maybe some of us can or are willing to ignore his frequent and public ass hattery in favor of his ability to pen an occasionally fine essay, but I cannot.

Um.. difference is they are kidding? You don't always have to be playing "Donald Trump AMOG game", we're on a subreddit with a bunch of other men discussing stuff and learning and sharing, not at a bar in LA. The purpose was not to compare you to feminists, just your strategy which is very typical of all of reddit and part of the reason why no one critically thinks anymore.

But it's not just his raging Catholicism (which is at least as important to him and his identity as his homosexuality). It's that he's a fuckin' mess of a man and a clown. Maybe some of us can or are willing to ignore his frequent ass hattery, but I cannot.

His raging Catholicism is not relevant and is distorting your views about him. Him being a mess of a man and a clown apparently is also not relevant to the fact that he can be more educated about a certain topic than me or you and is free to express his views on them without people bringing up his personal choices. I'm not responsible for the actions or lives of others so I find no reason to apologize for the actions of be it another terper, man, whatever. I also tell my religious friends to not apologize for something they didn't do. Fuck that.

Similarly, I find no reason to be embarrassed by another person's actions. I can't even mentally fathom that anymore. If you are embarrassed by him, then you need to be less emotionally invested and a bit more selfish. You sound pretty angry, and I can't understand that because the only source of anger should be something that directly impacts you and your life.

You get mad when some idiot posts about some slut on 2x over here to get upvotes as well?

[–]tallwheel0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Japan vs Nigeria

South Korea vs Russia

[–]Endorsed Contributornyrp0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Nigeria is less than half Christian. 50% Muslim. And Christian heritage only arrived principally in the last 200 years, that's not a "strong Christian heritage."

I don't think South Korea is particularly more moral than Russia. At best they're maybe equal. But North Korea, of course, is way worse, which probably just goes to show that the American and international aid given to South Korea since the Korean War makes up a lot of its culture. What was Korea like before 1951? Not like Italy.

I will concede that Japan and South Korea are two exceptionally bright, civilized and sophisticated societies. But can you really name more than two high-IQ East-Asian countries that could even compete?

Not even Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Phillippines compare. Isolated Japan, and half of the Korean peninsula might be unfucked-up.

[–]national_sanskrit1 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy

I would much prefer to live in taoist Buddhist Taiwan than one of the oldest Christian country Ethiopia.

[–]Endorsed Contributornyrp-1 points0 points  (0 children) | Copy

Great, you found one exception. But Buddhism is not a religion.

Ethiopia's population 100 years ago after 1500 years of Christianity was only 20 million people. So it's a tiny population that maybe doesn't fit the mold. Most of the growth since has been among the Muslim population.

It's also been held down and isolated by Islam since the 7th century:

With the emergence of Islam in the 7th century, Ethiopia's Christians became isolated from the rest of the Christian world... Ethiopia was the only region of Africa to survive the expansion of Islam as a Christian state.

So it's a pretty unique case; doesn't disprove the general rule.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (3 children) | Copy

When I first heard that I thought it was rhetoric. Then I thought for a minute and couldn't find a substantial fault.

[–]Endorsed Contributornyrp3 points4 points  (2 children) | Copy

Column A: France, Italy, Denmark, Germany, Switzerland, USA, Canada, Spain, Belgium, Argentina, New Zealand, the Netherlands

Column B: Tajikistan, India, Myanmar, Nigeria, Sudan, Tunisia, Zimbabwe, Iraq, Syria, Sri Lanka, Jamaica, Indonesia

Which would you rather live in?

Even among poorer countries: Poland, Hungary, Romania, Croatia.

More decent cultures than rich non-Christian countries: Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Egypt

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points  (1 child) | Copy

Colonialism is a factor as well. Those places occupied by Column A generally have higher standards of living.

[–]Endorsed Contributornyrp2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

Places with stronger morals colonize lesser moral powers. That's how they're able to organize and take control.

When Islam comes, they don't colonize, never have. They conquer and force into submission, which is what happened from the Balkans to India.

I wonder if any of his fans are going to criticize him for "supporting those TRP misogynists" like Karen Straughan's fans did

[–]Modredpillschool[S] 2 points3 points  (1 child) | Copy

It would be a good test to see how Milo does with his feet to the fire. He's been writing articles literally about the people on TRP. To alienate us now wouldn't make much sense.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy

I think they see him as enough of a misogynist now that it would come as no surprise to them... although, since he's gay and automatically a "victim", I think they have some cognitive dissonance about calling him a misogynist.

[–]tallwheel1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

I'm not so sure. A lot of Milo's fans are moderates, and could be better described as "sympathetic" to men's issues and anti-feminists. They don't consider themselves MRA's either, and I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of them would not be sympathetic to TRP, or would just go with the "TRP are the real misogynists" narrative that the moderates and MRA's have been trying to brand us with.

[–]mister_dice0 points1 point  (4 children) | Copy

I stopped liking him when he said that gay men are superior, maybe it was one of his jokes that I didn't get, but I just can't stand people like that.

[–]stawek1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

it's likely only the smarter gay people come out of closet, so it's selection bias.

Anyway, every hypothesis is worth considering.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Likely a joke... but superior to what, and in which context? I'm sure he doesn't think in such black-and-white terms.

[–]Truman140 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

There's an awful lot that Milo says that shouldn't be taken seriously.

[–]JuiceIncinerator0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy

Reminds me of a question; do feminists (or women in general) have a harder time arguing against a gay man or an asexual man?

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points  (0 children) | Copy

A gay man is a primary victim in their perception of the world. He is effeminate, and therefore a pseudo-woman. They can't call him a misogynist or other terms they'd like to use, because he's a pseudo-woman and a member of the underclass they are "heroically" trying to protect.

An asexual man, on the other hand, is not only a man, but a fraction of a man, simultaneously unworthy of pity and worthy of contempt. He is not to be protected by them, nor is he of use to them since he can't be convinced to part with his commodities (money, status, semen) because their only weapon is ineffective on him.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Wont be here but I would appreciate if someone could ask these questions please:

  • "It's fantastic that you and Breitbart report on topics which are never reported anywhere else. As short as 10 years ago, and in theory of "traditional journalism" this meant that the outlet reporting on this was generally a crackpot. It's a sad state of affairs that being a lone voice is no longer a strong sign that your a crack pot.

That being said, despite covering issues that are important and unreported, I find Breitbart as a whole is a very poor journalistic outlet. I will drop it like liquid once I find something better. What is your opinion of Breitbart as a journalistic outlet?"

  • What's the quality and quantity of criticism/abuse that you receive for your support of Gamergate like? and do you ever think of the money you could be extracting from this if you were an "anti gamergater"?

  • What is your opinion on the Fermi Paradox?

  • When are you blokes ever going to get a decent cricket team again?

  • I remember reading somewhere that you said that you only needed 4 hours of sleep a night, is this correct or an exaggeration?

  • In your experience what is the best response to someone making the claim you are X-ist against [insert minority here]? For most of us being charming and flaming isn't an option.

  • Not a question but a sincere thank you. In case people reading this are not aware but (I think?) Milo is the first "celebrity" to do an actual name to paper AMA on here. Thank you for doing it Milo but I question wether this is a wise career move for you. I hope everyone understands the risk he is taking to do this.

[–]LegElbow-2 points-1 points  (0 children) | Copy

I see TRP as a male adaptation to feminism(a female adaption), not an enemy.

This sub is becoming more and more men's rights and less about ADAPTING and finding SUCCESS in the current social climate.

It's better to adapt to change, not fight it. Why? Because change is unstoppable.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
