Oh for sure. Anyone who actually studies science (like myself) understands how subjective and un-scientific the field of psychology is. There's definitely a place for therapists, but as the field is so subjective, I'd definitely get a second opinion on something this large. I'd even venture more than that. A single therapist who hates men, for instance, can do a lot of damage to a kid. What this mother obviously has is Munchhausen Syndrome by proxy. She's the one who needs psychiatric help.

I think there are some things in psychology that are more or less objective, like say some cog-behavioral therapies that studies show work (as far as i know anyway). Problem is, several studies showed that 90% at least of psychologists basically just wing it and don't apply them properly at all.
Really wish there existed an AI that you could talk with even just through messages and it would apply those techniques or help you apply them on yourself properly. So you wouldn't have to base yourself on someone who is payed a ton but just wings it.
Plus you could talk to it whenever not just once a week...
Kinda wanted to go into this field to help people, but going to some shrinks really put me off of it.

Pretty much what I think and what my experience has been with it. But I think most people are really stupid hence why when they go to a shrink and they just say the obvious they act like omg that's so good.

Eh. Maybe my ignorance but i think human minds, psychologically, are pretty easy to understand. If there's no hormonal imbalance or whatever else that cause problems (which are more physical, like if you have a knee injury and can't run, so you have a brain problem and can't function properly), otherwise it's mostly habits that most people find hard to break out of. At least that has been my experience. In regards to actual problems that are not just traits either genetic or ingrained, like narcissism.
Or i guess it sounds weird after writing it, but at least to me it doesn't seem like humans are that complicated... More like they want to seem that way and complicate situations themselves, when actually they're easy to solve.

Yeah. Sugar is way more deadly than alcohol, but we're creatures of instant results so we'd rather believe that something that hits us right away is worse than something that's hitting us harder but much more slowly.
Apart from the sugar in fruits and vegetables, all other type of sugar isn't natural, it's processed and it's literal poison for your body. There's 0 benefits to it and here's the kicker; not only does your body not need it, it doesn't know what to do with it.

It's been tried--he will be brought up on Federal Charges and lose all contact with his son. I don't know much about this case, but I would appeal it to the highest levels and counter sue for deprivation of the father's constitutional rights. Where's his "equal protection"? I don't disagree! I only speak from years of experience--with the courts, DCF, Law enforcement and do-nothing prosecutors. I even delved into the "Children's Underground". Not much much I can say other than the options should be carefully weighed and plans carefully made and the biggest obstacle may be the brainwashing of the child. There is little that can help a kid who's been brainwashed by a narcissistic parent, especially a woman. The "Underground" is a scam by the way, where they will take your belongings and then turn you in to the abusive parent.
