INTRO

This post is part rant, part observation, and partially me sharing my current struggle with modern Christianity in this day and age after swallowing the pill. If this is not the right place to post this, let me know...

BODY

I was the typical beta Christian boy. I went to Church, I read my Bible, and I prayed every day that God would send me "the most incredible woman" to someday be my wife. I was told by my youth pastor that I should do that. Every fucking day before I went to sleep I prayed this. Though I had not met my unicorn yet, I was well on the path to getting married. I was saving up money so that when I finally found that perfect woman, I could buy a house and have 3 shitty kids. My life was laid out before me, step by step, planned out, and I was for the most part content, because I figured that all this was what strong Christian guys do. I was content with my shitty body, I was content with my shitty personality because my family and Christian friends all told me that a girl won't care as long as I am a "strong Christian" and I "provide for her". I believed this was how God intended me to live.

Then came TRP by a total accident. My fuck did it throw me into a tail-spin. Nothing made sense at first, "lies, lies, lies!" I told myself. This can't fucking possibly be the way it is. When I got over the initial shock I devoured everything I could on the subject. I swear if I had not found this website, I would be well on my way to a life of driving my snot nosed kids to school every morning in a Kia Sedona while my "Incredible" wife (now 40lbs heavier) slowly drains my bank account and sanity.

I lifted. I read. I lifted. I ate. I lifted. I read. I lifted again.

This has been my cycle for the past year. I have blocked out the noise, I have truly changed myself.

As you know, Illimitable Men coined the name "monk mode" for this phase, and that's what it has been for me. A solo but complete transformation. Almost.

Aside from one problem, a problem that I have been dodging and circumventing every chance I get. As a man, you don't hamster away your problems, and that's what I have been doing. We will come back to that, though.

I have spent time reading the Bible (as well as Dalrok, and a few other Christian Red Pillars). Seeing the Bible with RP lenses on, I now understand the way the Bible describes marriage. It is something COMPLETELY different from the Christian marriages we see today. In fact the way the Biblical marriage is supposed to be, is for the most part RP to the core. In a perfect world it really is something amazing and something I believe most men would want.

The problem of course, is that we are in the west in 2016. This is not a perfect world. In fact, it seems like a terrible time to try to have ANY kind of marriage, especially a Christian one.

These marriages don't fucking work 95% of the time. I can not recall one modern Christian marriage I saw in the numerous Churches I've been to over the years where the husband wasn't completely pussy whipped. Marriages in the Church for the most part seem worse than non-Christian marriages because the Church places 100% of the blame on the man. Wife unhappy? Husband's fault. Wife cheats? Husband didn't "love her enough". Christian wives know they got their husbands by the balls in every way shape and form, not JUST financially. The Modern Churches cater to women. Attract them, and the men follow. But the fucked up modern Church is another topic for another time. In all truth, I wish I could get married. I wish I could experience what the Bible describes as being the perfect marriage. The man and the wife fulfilling their roles. I wish it were possible to have a RP marriage, but one of the harsh truths I have come to learn, is that it is most likely not in today's world. Not impossible, just almost impossible. This used to be a lot easier, but "true" Christian marriage has been all but destroyed.

My faith is still important to me. And after the Red Pill, the stories and lessons in the Bible have begun to make 10x more sense. Read Adam and Eve, read Samson and Delilah, read the Proverbs. I'm not going paste the verses all here, but there is no denying that RP truths run deep in this book. Read them for your self.

Now to my problem: Sex. I am still a virgin. The lifting and the new attention from girls is finally making me start to lose my mind. My sex drive is through the roof. I'm 24 now, and I can't fucking take it anymore. I have been putting this off for a year, using Monk Mode as an excuse not to talk to women, approach, etc.. I have not wanted to deal with the fact that I am one of the few who doesn't get to experience women because of my faith. It seems if I want to follow the Bible and what God commands (sex after marriage), in this day and age I am fucked no matter what I do. Truly, I am having a hard time seeing it any other way. The way I see it, there are three options for me:

  1. Stay Celibate. Live in a constant state of sexual frustration and porn-jerking misery. The pros being I never worry about having to deal with women or premarital sex.

  2. Get married. Take the biggest gamble of my life. Hope that it is one of the 5% of modern Christian marriages that last and end up happy... and that I don't get fucked over and lose everything.

  3. Have sex. Suffer the consequences.

...Damned if I do. Damned if I don't.

Well, aren't I up shit's creek without a paddle?! The worst part is I have no one to talk to about this with. The Church's answer is usually along the lines of "Man Up and get married!", or "Trust God, he will lead you to the right woman!". I trust God, but I would not jump off a building and expect him to catch me before I hit the ground. I ask non-Christians and they tell me I'm overthinking it and I should just go have sex. I know I am in the minority. There is a very small crossover of RP and modern Christian it seems. Most men in the church are beta through and through.

This week I did something I have never done before, and took a girl out from tinder. This was huge for me because I was raised that unless a girl is a Christian looking to get married, stay far from her. I got my first kiss and make out. She just texted me an invite to watch a movie at her apartment this week. It seems that the time has come for me to make up my mind on this - no more dodging. It's time to make a decision like a man, and choose a path. I suppose I'm not looking for anyone to do that for me, I just wanted to get my thoughts out into the open.

I don't want to start any kind of religion flame war. If there are any religious guys on here who may have some input, I would love to hear from you. To everyone else, if you have any comments or questions, go for it. I'm aware that there are many mixed opinions on religion here.

LESSONS LEARNED

  • Marriage in the Church is more fucked up than marriage outside the Church due to Churches pandering to women.

  • If you are a RP Christian trying to follow the Bible's stance on marriage and sex in this day and age, you have some big challenges ahead.

  • You can't ignore your problems for too long, they will always return. Confront them.
