The reason that many married men learn to keep their mouths shut, is because US divorce courts will absolutely destroy him. Courts take everything from him, and allow his ex to alienate him from his children. Every American woman knows she can, every American man knows she will because he has seen it happen to his friends and family for generations.

Basically, men think American women are spoiled entitled little brats, because they are. It’s 2020, over 100 years since the 19th amendment and to this day, women still don’t have to register for the draft to vote (selective service). A 18 year old Paraplegia male had to register, but princess Americana still gets to sit on her ass.

If the husband makes more money, and she only had to work part time or not at all, somehow that man becomes responsible for maintaining her new standard of living for decades, if not for life.

Basically, thanks purge week, the American woman is the most spoiled creature to walk the face of this earth in the last 4.5 billion years. She can literally hit men in public and people will cheer but if he raises his voice a crowd will rush in to protect her.

okay this turned out to be pretty long so first, when I say men and women I talk about the statistical majority of men and women not all men, not all women, not exceptions.

the manosphere is the ultimate proof that men are much more emotional than women, men are more prone to depression and successful suicide attempts, women make more overall attempts which is a good (enough) indicator that women want to receive attention for their emotional distress (much more often than men) because they do (also much more often than men do) , married men don't shut up because their wives are a bunch of nagging roasties, they shut up because men are taught to fucking shut up, the anonymity given to men by the internet gave a shot for men to express themselves and their emotional difficulties.
So, sorry to get all simpy and shit but I don't think the 'women are emotional time bombs with zero sense of reason or empathy' has any biological argument to it, men shut up because they don't wanna get called pussies or simps (as shown by my apology above) or cucks, or any type of a traditionally 'lesser' man because a man's ego is linked to his masculinity and that's not like wrong or anything, literally high testosterone correlates a lot with high serotonin and a healthy body, but dying of a heart attack for not admitting a puppy is cute is definitely too much right? the mainstream calls it toxic masculinity but we won't admit there's anything toxic about any form of masculinity, yet as soon as you become gender critical you get a small voice in your head that links your behavior and ideas with manhood and you build your own form of masculinity.
and as it's a purplepill sub, I guess I can go ahead and say that toxic femininity exists and it is as much of a social construct as toxic masculinity is and in most of the times some traits of toxic masculinity show up because of toxic femininity,
remember that women don't LIKE masculinity, masculinity IS the things that women like in a partner.

TLDR modern men have fragile egos and emotional distress because women keep encouraging those gender standards and keep proclaiming they want equality, but when they earned it [ strictly led by the west, as a north african who's lived in europe, the US and here and there I can tell you that in most parts of the world women rights still have a long way to go ] by manifesting an objectively oppressive system this last century, but nobody thought that that system was also fucking over men [ and still is in those other parts of the world too by the way ].
