This is what I received from a male lurker, among other things.

They don't get it, don't they? I don't speak for all women here, but I would assume nobody thinks of themselves as prizes to be won, or as treasure. In fact, we are pretty normal everyday women. And there are many, many women just like me — with similar education, ambitions and image.

You are right, I am not a prize. I am a person. There is no maze a man has to go through, no monsters slaughtered to get my attention. I don't need a guy "top 5" go out of his way, in order to find him interesting.

Don't you get, it, male lurkers?

We don't think we are prizes, but we also don't think any male in the street is entitled to be intimate with us. All we owe you is the same thing every person owes everyone else — very basic human decency, nothing more. We don't owe you a text, a date or sex. Just because we don't think we want to get closer with a person, doesn't mean we think we are so unattainable. We just don't owe you fucking intimacy.

Men thinking women here are entitled, you are projecting so fucking hard.

You don't think you should be paid without getting a job, do you? You don't think you should get a job without several interviews? You don't think you should get a job if you don't pass a basic educational requirement? What, you think jobs are prizes? Just because you have 10th grade highest education, and the job requires a Masters, doesn't mean the job thinks they are Apple looking for a new CEO. They don't have too high of a self esteem, or high standards. You just don't fit the requirements, which may be reasonable, may be not — doesn't matter.

You don't fit either way.

And you know what else? It's always better for the company to not fill a position at all, rather than fill it with someone who doesn't have appropriate knowledge or experience and has no idea what the fuck they are doing. It's cheaper and safer not to hire anyone at all, than to hire some dude, pay for him, train him, and pray he won't wreck the company.

And one more thing: if there are a lot of candidates, the recruiters will be picky.
