I’m single and have recently started dating again. Probably 6 out of the 8 men I’ve gone out with over the past 2 months have talked about their exes, and some won’t shut up about them. Two men even told me how amazing their ex gf/ex wife were in bed, while I sat there speechless. I’ve heard all about exes’ pierced nipples, fake boobs, lip injections, what they look like, how much they make, etc. The first time it happened I didn’t know what to say so just sat there and nodded, then changed the subject. There was no second date. Next time it happened I told the guy I have no interest in hearing about any of his exes and he said “wow ok I’ll never bring up the past again, sorry” (as if I had an issue with his past🙄). My friends tell me guys are probably scared I won’t like them- I’m pretty, successful and smart- so they pull out the old “look, another female liked me so you should too!!1!” I never bring up past relationships on the first date- or any dates until we’re exclusive, and it COMPLETELY turns me off when a man does. It continues to happen on almost every date I go on, and I was wondering if this is common with all men or just LVMs? Would you next someone because of this?
