Even this is too damn complicated. Men decide to have a long term relationship or marriage... and then they choose the first suitable woman that comes along after that point. Her characteristics are practically meaningless, it's all about him wanting and deciding to do and act in a way that allows him to recieve. Stop pontificating on the why's, they don't matter. What does matter is quickly identifying a mans intentions (and they really don't do that great of a job hiding them, once you're looking for the right signs) and moving the fuck on if they don't match up with what you require, no excuses.

Lol ugh this is definitely true with many men I’ve encountered. However, I’ve been just a booty call with a couple of men who went back to their less attractive ex. Most likely I was part of their hit list before they were ready to fully commit to their ex or a different girl. So it’s more than looks, when it comes to a girlfriend/ex. it’s connection, history, guilt, future outlook, what they consider good wife-material, etc.

Okay, what I don't understand about this logic is that the ugly scrotes who I've gone for in the past kept coming around trying to be casual and refused to date.

I was objectively out of their leagues physically- this was part of the false logic I used to pick them in the first place (yes I probably sound crazy but I thought they would be grateful to be with a cute girl when they looked like thumbs)

I think guys like to blame women when they themselves aren't emotionally available- they like to claim it's because of attractiveness but the minute a hot woman out of their league gives them the time of day they can't handle their own insecurities.

So they justify their singledom as being "well she wasn't pretty enough for me- I only want the best of what I consider the most attractive" bitch please you are emotionally unavailable and refuse to deal with it.

Also, men’s “standards” for what they find attractive is usually dictated by whatever today’s media is defining as attractive. Many men will pass on the most beautiful woman (inside and out) because she doesn’t meet society’s current definition of “conventional beauty”—for example, maybe she’s a bit overweight or she’s “hit the [imaginary] wall”. Those same men will instead marry a less attractive woman (inside and out) just because she has an Instagram body and/or is younger, because he’ll get more high fives from the bros that way.
