I have recently been watching series 7 of B99 since it appeared on Netflix

Part of the plot is the main couple struggling to conceive. The woman is 38/39. She does go on fertility drugs and does succeed but there is a episode where they try for months on a boring schedule and have no luck. Who wants that

(Disclosure: real life actress also got pregnant at 38 but I think with her second which I understand is easier)

The character is your typical “type A personality” with insane focus on career and not really displaying femininity the majority of the time

Big Bang Theory is a weird one. The main couple is clear evidence of a hot girl settling after her hoe phase. But they only really work after she has a spell as a pharma girl that she is unrealistically instantly good at and makes loads of money. Which is an odd turn as that would usually trigger hypergamy

The first couple to get married on that show is the most beta looking guy to the woman that seems most feminine but regularly flips a switch to become masculine. And the audience is made painfully aware how she is the more successful one

So perhaps that show is trying to serve both crowds. Betas by showing women will settle for them no matter how terrible they are as people or useless they are with women. And the women for showing they will at least be the success in the relationship 🤷‍♂️

It's not that her personality and accomplishments don't count for anything, it's that they are by themselves nowhere near enough and do not replace female youth and fertility. There are plenty of female dumpster fires to be found in their 20's too, so it's not like youth and fertility are the only thing men value. But even so, don't forget the maxim of "Gather ye rosebuds while ye may".
