This is a dangerous behavior. It’s dangerous for women.

Growing up I heard such phrases very often. Be it at home from my father, friends whining about their mothers, tv shows, movies. You get it. And I believed it. I believed it was “nagging “ and “bitching” and not common sense. Because that’s what it is. But if a women expects this things, they often will become ridiculous requirements.

I hated being a woman. Now I hate our society and everyone who says a woman is bitching because she tells someone to do something completely normal.

When I was 15, I was left home alone with my dad while my mom had gone away for two weeks. My pickmisha mom never taught my brothers how to do any housework and dad was already useless in home so naturally it was on me to cook all meals and do all other housework.

On grocery day I handed dad a list of all the things we needed to buy but he didn't go and sat in the living room watching TV till it was 7 in the evening. (it was supposed to be a regular trip, to refill the fridge and cabinets with the things we used almost daily, which mom made every week, we had all the things to make dinner) I kept reminding him to go get the stuff and he yelled at me and told me to shut up just before I was going to make dinner. So I shut up. I took all the snacks and edibles from kitchen and frideg and took it all to my room. I locked my door and told him to handle the house.

Dad and brothers put something together to eat for the night and next day they ordered food from outside. I didn't do a single chore for them the entire time. They whined, begged, requested, ordered and yelled but got nothing out of me. By the time mom came back the whole house resembled a pigsty except for my room. She still berates me about that event but I don't care. I'm never going to feed/help/serve anyone who disrespects me.

100%! This is NVMs and LVMs selfishness and low/no empathy again and again. This is what FDS truly is about, it teaches and warns against forming relationships with those men. Imagine having so little empathy that you don’t go outside with your dangerous smoking habit, let alone open the window. Imagine being so selfish that you don’t care what makes your partner happy and comfortable.

I’m pretty sure that all of us met at least one low empathy male throughout life. Many of us have fathers and family members like that, exes, current partners, colleagues, bosses, flatmates. Men who just don’t care about you and therefore your feelings, comfort, health etc. and won’t accommodate you, even if you’re their daughter or wife.

NO to relationships and reproducing with low empathy men. It is detrimental to our health and detrimental to future generations - how can low empathy fathers raise high empathy sons? Women can’t bear the responsibility alone.

I totally agree. It's a complete lack of respect.

This is what my ex did before we split up. All those stupid sighs and passive aggressive digs at small things. It was like he was trying to get the point across that my existence in his life didn't matter.

When he came crawling back I told him that there was no point in having me in his life since I annoyed him so much. byye

I once told an NVX not to smoke in my apartment. Instead, he went into my spare room and ripped a hole in the screen so he could stick his cigarette in it and smoke without thinking I’d find out.

I was just thinking this the other day. This applies to anything, and I remember a specific instance that stuck out to me with my narc ex. We were at a concert and I had asked him to walk with me to the bathroom because I felt unsafe going myself. He snapped at me and told me I was capable of going myself, and he wasn’t going to take five minutes away from watching the show. Of course when I brought this up he told me I was too sensitive, but that absolute lack of empathy really stuck with me. You’re right- if a man can’t do the literal bare minimum to make you comfortable, he doesn’t care.

Girl I know. My father not only didn’t prioritize simple comfort requests, but turned my request into an attack. He would rage at me if I turned the heat DOWN (which saves money). There was worse instances, which I won’t go into. But if there’s little things they can’t concede on, there will be bigger ones, it’s only a matter of time. But I continue to go for men who don’t prioritize my comfort over their own. One time I was on a trip w my ex, pulled my back and wanted to buy a new pillow (didn’t ask him to purchase) but he had the car and couldn’t be bothered to stop. Another time, I chose the wrong shoes and said I was going to Uber myself back to hotel and he whined and said “it’s only a couple blocks.” Yeah I chose the wrong shoes but you told me a couple blocks, not a mile and a half. Most recent guy, on a trip I was nauseous and dizzy bc I needed to eat, but he wanted to stop for a new game controller first, and have me hold his dog while he went inside. It’s very triggering when a man just doesn’t give two fucks about your comfort unless it coincides w their own. If it’s not win win they’re losing and it hurts their ego to “concede.” It’s very very difficult to stand up for my needs as is let alone in situations where men make it into a bargaining game. So we gotta prioritize ourselves single until we stop finding (most of them) douches who only care about their comfort and can simply not support anyone else unless those ppl put money in their pockets or keep up the facade of their “good man” image. Wish I was less empathetic and had the balls to destroy those images.

I’ve been thinking about things like this for the last few days and I’m trying to figure out when to let things go and when to assert myself. I think it’s because most women are comfort/ security seeking that we tend to get irritated quickly when things are messy or in an uncomfortable environment. You do have some men that are rude and nasty and other men that simply don’t get it.

I’ve never met a man who genuinely complied (unless temporarily while trying to get sex) with any of my small requests. I used to think it shows they don’t care about me but now I understand it speaks more about them as people. I still don’t get the mindset of making people uncomfortable when it takes so little to go out of your way. Why are men, amirite? It’s good when they reveal it early on, though. Me 🏃‍♀️

My boyfriend was a disgusting smoker. I always thought I would never date a smoker, but he lied about being a smoker for literal months before he got comfortable enough to show me the extent of his depravity. By that time I had cockholm syndrome (thanks Vice for that expression). He couldn't stop smoking even for the time I spent at his home so we would just be in separate rooms with doors shut. I went well my way over there just for this 🤦‍♀️

My husband gets pee all over the front of the toilet and on the floor (it dribbles) and I've asked him to either lean over the toilet or wipe up the piss when it happens.

"You're imagining it!"

"I know I wiped it up this time"

"That's just stains"

"Can't you just clean it up?"

I've taken pictures of the puddles. He has only wiped it up once or twice, but only the floor itself... He drips on the front too, so that ends up getting on the floor. It is NOT just stains. The laminate on the floor IS stained, but not the toilet itself.

No. I will not clean it up myself. It's YOUR pee. YOU clean it up. I already have to change every diaper unless I'm literally crippled with back, knee, or hip pain. I deal with my own pee issues and periods, so you deal with yours!
