Interesting. Two hours ago i was on the bus listening to the fds podcast about the onlyfans tweets. when lilith described how she was "taught" what sex is at 14, i was thinking i was taught about sex at the age of 14 by reading fanfiction written by women. The fanfiction that i read contained lots of hardcore porn acts.
in my mind it was a legitimate learning experience of what sex really is about because i didnt have a clue. i saw the women who wrote this stories as older and experienced, though probably most were not far from my age and really not an authority on the matter of healthy relationships. It was insanely addictive and very traumatic.

I used to read a lot of fanfic too and I shudder to think of any kids getting sex Ed from it. Since it’s written by children with zero clue, it’s often laughably anatomically incorrect:
“She was a virgin, so he had to push himself carefully through her clitoris until he slid past her cervix. The hymen popped like a freshness seal and he released his seed deep inside her ovaries. She could immediately feel the baby inside her.” 💀
It’s like it’s written by aliens desperately trying to portray human sex and failing. And that’s not even counting all the horrible abusive fetish garbage.

I think its not so correct to discredit all of fanfiction as written by ppl with no skill. Many famous writers admit to writing fanfiction and smut. Marguerite duras is very known for writing incest stories. In my 5 years of consuming fanfiction i read some intense dark moving stories that had impressive amount of work put into them. Idk if they hold up to today but i think they might. They did not fit my age and were very traumatising, for sure. Every dada expressionist surreal uber sexual artwork needs to be experienced in a context, not made into a confusing salad of life advice and fantasy.
And ofcourse since fanfictions are written anonymously they are made with zero care for the role of the artist to think about the sort of messages they convey.

No no don’t get me wrong. I’ve also read some amazing fanfic. Even with well-written romance and sex. This isn’t about the entire genre, just these ☝️ specific types of bad anatomy stories.

💯
Unfortunately, many young teenagers consume and recommend toxic books that they are not equipped to digest. BookTok and BookTube content creators often glorify these types of books with little to no warning.

Not fanfiction, but Twilight comes to mind. That book is the epitome of unhealthy relationships and coping mechanisms.
Fanfiction can be a way to discover wonderful, healthy, and actually accurate sexual encounters, but it's like with everything else, gotta look through the needle in the haystack. It's why I kinda focus on the fluff tag, usually the ones I find with it are sweet and wholesome.
Edit: by "accurate sexual encounters" I meant mostly accurate in the sense that it actually is relatable for women's real experience, or IF the partner is doing all the right things, the woman can actually feel pleasure (no just PIV for 3 mins).

I have to say that fanfiction is filled with bad men's anatomy, sometimes very bad.
However, most girls know. They know that men don't function all in the same way, and reading is very different to seeing.
Men instead think pornography is real.
[–]Aksentia_IvanovitchaFDS Newbie 5 points6 points7 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
It still introduces themes of abuse, hardcore everything etc into a girls vocabulary and that's traumatising. Reading and imagining is very powerful. Some may say more powerful than seeing. It does creat a sort of readiness for women to accept a man's request to do kink, promiscous sex etc because in the past they read a well written story that moved them and had an element of hardcore something.
There are several fanfictions who are well written and anatomically correct, i always searched those :>

My ideal man is a 30 year old woman who wakes up in a mans body.
Honestly. I’d rather date women. I am unfortunately often attracted to men’s bodies.

Thank you. It makes me rage when I see women talk about being insecure about their vulva. Idk if mine is average or unique. I know lots of young girls are ashamed of their labia because of porn.
Loving my vulva is one of my ways of fighting the patriarchy. You’re not making me insecure about something very few people will see.
Also men should treasure it! They’re lucky to see it.
[–]PrincessOzPowerThrowaway Account 43 points44 points45 points 5 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
Yes! I never thought of my body like that until recently.
All vulvas are unique - and only worthy contenders may get a chance to be in her presence!
There was a post recently about how most women don't get an orgasm from a man. Well, I am one of them. And that comes from allowing a man to pleasure himself with MY body, with little care to the specialness of mine. Its a big lesson to learn that 1) most men are like this and 2) we have been conditioned to come second, in all things, so we let it happen.
Never again. I come first or no one comes at all! And so far so good as I'm flying solo, and its GREAT.
[–]luvmyvulvaxoxoFDS Apprentice 26 points27 points28 points 5 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
That might have been my post! I made a post about how women must be the most sexual creatures because even though most of us don’t orgasm, we keep having sex with men. It got deleted though.
I agree. Women have been conditioned to put others first in daily life, and it extends to our sex life. But I also think women are extremely sexual. I know when I don’t cum during sex, I’m ok taking a break, but I’m still like 60% turned on after that. I think most women who have a hard time reaching an orgasm are probably mildly turned on 24/7. But that’s just my opinion.
Why would we keep having sex if we rarely came? It makes no sense. We must be very sexual, we’re just not being satisfied.
[–]PrincessOzPowerThrowaway Account 19 points20 points21 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
That post sounds like the post, I wonder why it got deleted?
I didn't start having orgasms until into my 30s... when I was single with no men complicating my life, demanding the pleasure spotlight through the same old scripts. And then, finally by myself - it was easy! I found the right toy for the job and holy amazeballs, multiple orgasms. The first time I came I laughed and laughed, it was a joy. I was free lol. I wonder if that's how men have viewed me? As a toy, so it was easy for them to finish. Ugh. I want to spew thinking about them.
Sometimes they asked what I wanted... and after doing what I said for a flimsy minute, they'd go back to suiting themselves. Those selfish scrotes.
So I agree - women are sexual! But by some kind of society and default nature setting, we give more than we take. But I am happy to say that is not me anymore, and holy wooshka, I am so sexual now. Sometimes I will cum once or twice and that is enough... sometimes I will go for four or five! Who knew???! If I was a lesbian I wonder if that would have been totally different for me and I would have been orgasming from waaay earlier. So yes - extremely sexual.
[–]luvmyvulvaxoxoFDS Apprentice 10 points11 points12 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I know in my experience I’m giving during sex because I’m turned on and I think it will be reciprocated. I think if you turn me on, then if I’m turning you on, then you’ll want to please me too. And I think that’s just not true for most men.
And yes! Men partially or half assing what you ask them to do to make you cut isn’t unique. So many guys have taken instruction and then quit right when I was close. Or they’ve totally not cared.
And part of my original post was inspired by me dating a man, continuously trying to turn him on to make me cum, getting close and he wouldn’t do more after he came. My last partner was very sensual and attentive but only in the beginning of the relationship.
But I cum pretty easily. I can’t imagine not cuming and continuing to have sex. Why? WHY? I know a few women who rarely orgasm but keep having sex and that’s why I think women have to be the most sexual beings on earth. We put up with shit treatment, unattractive men who offer nothing, and we STILL try to have sex.
It’s insane. They say women are crazy. Yes, because we keep having sex with men.
[–]PrincessOzPowerThrowaway Account 8 points9 points10 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I think not cuming but continuing to have sex is normal for a lot of us because HVM are so rare. So that means so many women are just used to the disappointment from day one of their sexual experience with a man. That's my experience. But what you say makes so much sense - I can not imagine not cuming during sex now. If I'm not - that's bad sex and why would I put up with that? God bless FDS.
But because - is this true? I'm open to thoughts - women are more giving we associate sex with intimacy and sharing, not just a physical transaction that results in orgasm. So the act of sex is important to us, and we don't realize it should be - that it even could be - about cuming as well. So a woman can be turned on by the sharing, and the hope they are turning their partner on... but their partner is most likely a LVM thinking about just himself.
Hmmm you're giving me so much food for thought.
Got to go home and have a few guaranteed orgasms and think about this LOL

This is a unjustified personal attack. I'm sure there are lots of non-fictional difficult Francophone professors with glasses see, it's not even an unrealistic standard, and some of them might like weird kinda angsty not-conventionally-attractive English women, it's possible in theory. Some of them probably aren't even married and don't have a dead former love.

If a random guy asks me this question and I feel safe enough to say this, I always say "not you." And watch them get angry and then quickly become ashamed. I don't care if i seem like an asshole. Did you just expect me to list out all the qualities I like in a man? 😄
