Having different standards and having higher standards isn't the same thing. And for the billionth time, people have the right to have as high of a standard they want, they just don't have the right of having someone that matches those standards like them back

Preferrence != standard And the women here say they get just as much if not more attention from men when they turned 30 and that the wall is nothing more than male revenge fantasy. So based on the experiences of women, getting older has had little to no effect on their ability to attract men for sex or relationships.

At any age if you take a man and woman of similar looks who are both over 30 and bet on who could get sex from someone in their early 20s faster I would bet on the woman every time.

You are totally off base. Youth is not at all a standard for men, because it is not enforced. Men prefer younger women. But if a 40 year old wants to hook up, the average single guy isn’t going to send her away for not fitting his standards.

Women actually have standards that they will not compromise on. But men do not have youth standards, just preferences that can be easily bypassed.

As a man, putting aside my own SMV for a minute, I would say that I do feel an inherent almost instinctual pickiness when it comes to a woman’s looks. I would say it’s pretty clear anecdotally and in terms of research that as men we are far more demanding of a women physically than vice versa.

Age isn’t quite the same as looks though. A woman who has lucky genes and looks after herself can look incredible way into her 40s and even early 50s. Weekly binge drinking, though, will not produce this result in most cases.

We also might avoid older women for other reasons, usually if they have spent their 20s taking men for granted, avoiding commitment and living off of attention and partying, by the time they start panicking and looking for a life partner they have no experience of what it takes to make commitment work, they are bitter that their SMV is falling as men’s increases for the first time in their lives and they have often accumulated significant baggage that renders them risky people for us to commit to.

Age in that sense is more of a conscious choice we make than the instinctive “looks” preferences we have, meaning that in the right case the right person can allay our fears and change our minds.

Yes men bitch about how women go after them for money but you can always earn more money you can’t get that time back. An attractive woman in her 20s can gain access to things that a very rich can but it’s all temporary. Both men and women are shallow, they just care about different things. I don’t understand why men have this idea that liking someone because they’re attractive is so much inherently better than liking someone because of their money/status.

Be decent looking
Be pleasant to be around.

Even these are negotiable for most men.

Ask a woman what her requirements for a relationship are and be ready for a laundry list.

Preferences are different than standards, and you can still argue that men's set of preferences are simpler than women's set of preferences

If you want to generalize like that, women also prefer older men. When I was in highschool it was common to see most girls in my school with older guys. And this still is common as a college student, I see most women have a preference for men that already graduated from college. So I'd say it's fair game. How can a woman compete against a younger woman and how can a man compete against an already professional man while only being a student?

This is not necessarily excluded, yes. It can and does happen. Also social/mental health is a muscle, make sure you don't forget to train it. Those who don't, experience atrophy.

Uhh no... As I get older It's way easier to date younger women than it is to date older women,

and by younger it really do be 21 - 26 girls from 27 + are just more serious entitled and down right desperate sometimes. Maybe the younger girls are entitled but I just don't notice it?

Being tall is as much a harsh, high standard as being you young. Atleast you automatically get to be young. A lot of men will never be tall, yet women have no problem being incredibly mean and cruel to short men, like they deserve to be treated like shit for something they can't control.

I think it's weird and likely a sign of an abusive personality when a grown ass adult, man or woman, takes particular sexual interest in those significantly younger than them. Unless everyone involved is over thirty.

Even if that might not be the case, guys who can't find older women attractive are going to have a bad time.
