When I was in middle school I was homeschooled and part of a Mormon home school group (my family was non religious though). The number of times I was made to cover up and told my clothes were inappropriate was incredibly frustrating. I remember being so pissed that these supposedly moral and respectful people were treating my body like it was something harmful or dangerous. They would make me wear a huge XXXXL sweatshirt when they decided my tops were too low cut to try to humiliate me. Even at that age I knew I wasn't the problem I just didn't understand fully why it felt so problematic to me. I was lucky to come out of it unscathed, my sister ended up with some serious body/eating issues from them which breaks my heart to this day. The thing is though is that my clothes were never even inappropriate, my mom was barely even letting me wear girl's clothes by then and would have never let me dress in anything revealing. Looking back it pisses me off even more that these moms thought it was a better idea to bully the little atheist girl instead of just teaching their sons that if seeing a girl's shoulders gets your dick hard, you're the problem. Not her for just existing in a human body.

I am tired of women beeing socially conditioned to dress for the male gaze, cause they might seem a certain way or “provoke”? It’s stupid. Men can get aroused by an ANKLE ffs it’s exhausting predicting outfits based on that. Wear them for you not them.
