Now women can use special apps to anonymously report “harassment” at work. Men won’t even know who their accuser is. Orwell would be proud.

For emotional conditioning they always say things like "explain why two women are killed a week" without ever asking how many men are killed a week. Given that (based on US data) about 74% of murder victims are male, my guess would be around 6. "At least five women and one girl were killed in the UK during the week Everard went missing", again without saying how many men and boys were killed the same week. It would guess around 18 to 20.

Pure emotional conditioning, has nothing to do with the truth. Just like in the US where the George Floyd case is used to push for political changes, the Sarah Everard case will be used the same way in the UK. Always a single case gets used to push through legislation while omitting the true proportions. Legislation by anecdote, not by data.

Scary.

[–]Alarming_Draw 11 points12 points13 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Exactly what I thought too-feminists are always trying to paint themselves as martyrs and claim they suffer 'exactly like black people do' and try to equate their 'pain' to that caused by slavery-I suspect they are looking for their 'Black Lives Matter' moment, and this is an attempt to create one out of nothing.

[–]goronslime 11 points12 points13 points 5 years ago (19 children) | Copy Link

George floyd was a terrible thing that will hopefully bring genuine positive systematic change

[–]datatroves 22 points23 points24 points 5 years ago (18 children) | Copy Link

He died with a serious fentanyl induced edema. It's hard to say if the cop even contributed to his death, let alone caused it.

[–]Veelsee 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Bruh, people still believe this bullshit? How many times has it been disproven now lmao. He died because the cop was a piece of shit, and that's the facts.

[–]TheNerdWonder 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link

And how many other instances have we seen cops come down on people like Floyd and use excessive force on people of all types but especially POC? Even with the supposed fentanyl issue, it doesn't change that we do have an issue with systemic racism (and classism to some extent if we are discussing how low income whites are treated in America and that is likewise a problem) in our legal system and in law enforcement. There are plenty of former and current black cops who have talked about that extensively as well as how they're treated by their brothers in blue.

[–]Veelsee 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Agreed.

[–]goronslime -4 points-3 points-2 points 5 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

The cop still shouldn’t have stood on his neck. Not to mention the numerous other incidents this brought to light. The BLM movement is one that I do and will continue to support

[–]TracyMorganFreeman 3 points4 points5 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The problem is that he was passively resisting arrest the entire time, and Floyd was just a huge man that wasn't easily subdue by muscle. Tasers are unreliable and bullets while reliable are an unnecessary escalation.

Tasers may have been a more reckless choice if they thought he may have OD'd on drugs.

[–]lSuperSuccl 23 points24 points25 points 5 years ago* (10 children) | Copy Link

Actually apparently he had his knee on the back of the neck to prevent asphyxiation but as the other guy said he had fentanyl in his system and died due to a heart attack or stroke. Also, BLM is a toxic organization that tries to say racism is everywhere and they exaggerate everything. If you were wondering, studies show, on the high end, 14 unarmed black men were killed by police as of 2019. This doesn’t mean they weren’t a threat. An unarmed man can reach for a cop’s gun and be a threat. They can do many things and be a threat. Also, BLM (the organization) has no policies to help black people. They wanted to defund the nuclear family as well, but deleted that from their page after backlash.

[+]ShoutoutsToSimple1 points 5 years ago* [recovered] (3 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, I don't know how someone can come to this subreddit and agree with the arguments here, but then turn right around and support BLM. An organization or ideology which claims to fight for equality by only focusing on promoting one group...is not actually about equality.

Feminism can never be about equality as long as it's about women first and foremost. And BLM can never be about equality as long as it's about black people first and foremost. The idea that Black Lives Matter is considered anti-racist, yet All Lives Matter is considered racist is really telling.

[–]LettuceBeGrateful 3 points4 points5 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

An organization or ideology which claims to fight for equality by only focusing on promoting one group...is not actually about equality.

It depends on the group and the problem they're trying to solve. The MRM does exactly the same thing with men. It doesn't mean the MRM isn't about equality, it just means that it highlights the inequalities faced by one particular group.

The idea that Black Lives Matter is considered anti-racist, yet All Lives Matter is considered racist is really telling.

I'm gonna have to disagree here. Plenty of people in the MRM say "men matter" or "men matter too." If someone rebutted, "don't you mean all genders matter?", we'd rightfully say yes of course, but right now we're talking about men. Having to add disclaimers every other sentence that women matter too waters down the message. Of course women matter. Men face unique issues and need their time in the spotlight.

I'm not trying to draw a total equivalence between the MRM and BLM, because I know many people will have strong opinions about which is fighting a bigger fight, but I think the BLM/ALM discussion is actually very relevant to the frustrations we have when advocating for men. The notion that all lives matter is noble. Using that notion to dilute the voices of black people who have their own grievances is disingenuous.

[–]lSuperSuccl 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah I agree with you but to be fair Mens’ rights specifically focuses on men. The difference between us and feminists is we don’t absolutely despise the other side and we don’t get away with things based on our gender.

And that part did always puzzle me. How does ‘Black lives matter’ mean anti racism but ‘all lives matter’ means racism? Like it’s just like that time when people put up signs saying ‘it’s okay to be white’ and people were irate. People who get mad over things like ‘it’s okay to be white’ are the real racists.

[–]TheNerdWonder 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

It's because it's using black people to raise awareness on a whole host of other issues because they're most effected. What do you think the Rainbow Coalition was? It sprung out of the Civil Rights Movement and the Black Panthers (which had white members) who used the issues of systemic racism towards black people to springboard talks on racism towards other races and classism towards low income whites hence why the BPP had an alliance with the Young Patriots (Caucasian) and the Young Lords (Puerto Ricans) to start the Rainbow Coalition in Chicago. It talks about how that issue of systemic discrimination toward black can hurt all of us, including whites even if it may not be in the same way.

That's how BLM is not the same as the toxic and exclusionary feminist movement and why one may think ALM is racist, even if it is well intentioned. It ignores what BLM ACTUALLY is because it's only looking at the label, not the contents. BLM is ALM.

[–]FinallyReborn 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Your right, not to say black people do not face issues that white people don't, racism is still a serious issue. A large number of BLMers are feminists who pass off "white male privilege", I find it ironic since most of the issues black people face are just male gender issues enhanced. And almost every article you see on BLM is how it's specifically targeting "black women", even though black men brunt the oppression of men and black people, statistically white men have multiple times harder than black women do.

And BLM wants to "destroy" the nuclear family when a good deal of the issues the black community faces comes from the serious lack of fathers. How would they want to erase the issue when promoting the problem?

[–]lSuperSuccl 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Racism is definitely a thing but it goes both ways. However, I see far more people who openly hate white people than people who openly hate black people.

[–]TheNerdWonder 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Because feminists will exploit any movement they can. That's not on BLM as a mostly decentralized movement.

[–]DevilishRogue -2 points-1 points0 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Actually apparently he had his knee on the back of the neck to prevent asphyxiation

Just to clarify, the footage does show the officer's shin and knee on the neck during the restraint. Whilst it had nothing to do with the death lets not leave ourselves open to criticism that we are misrepresenting things simply because we point out the officer was not responsible for the death.

[–]lSuperSuccl 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Ah, my bad. I just read an article a while back and took their word on it. But yeah, regardless it was unrelated to his death.

[–]GranaT0 -2 points-1 points0 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

He wasn't the only person killed this way.

[–]higgs456 22 points23 points24 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Feminism has been trying to literally make it impossible to call this kind of behavior what it is. These are precisely hysterics and many women are being hysterical. But of course anything that could be used to make a negative interpretation of something some women do is misogyny and unspeakable. Basically they don't want to be able to be held accountable.

[–]Alarming_Draw 6 points7 points8 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Shows what we've all been saying for years; feminists are nothing more than hysterical people who reject decency, reason, or facts.

Violence and murder BY OTHER MEN.

How do you counter those “arguments”? They always come with those and they become tiring...

[–][deleted] 40 points41 points42 points 5 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

It's not a serious argument, unless you believe in collective guilt.

Why would any man be more guilty than any woman for this, if they are not a perpetrator?

Why should "men" as a group, and a man as an individual, shoulder any guilt for the bad actions of another man (and usually a small fraction of men who are disproportionately responsible for most violent crimes)?

What other group will you hold collectively accountable for the bad actions of some members? Have you thought through the implications of your argument here?

[–]tenchineuro 15 points16 points17 points 5 years ago* (2 children) | Copy Link

It's not a serious argument, unless you believe in collective guilt.

At least some women do.

[–]loc12 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Damn, this just hit it on the head so perfectly.

[–]ImportantResults 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That's a good point, people with that mindset justify anything no matter how atrocious if the objective feels virtuous, hence the all-revolving-around-feelings culture of today.

When you can so easily manipulate people through feelings then they become immune to logic... sounds familiar?

If an ideology ends with -ism, history has taught us it's a bad sign...

Rather, if it's an ideology, period.

[–]HeyMyCorona 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Just ask them if they would say the same about data that suggest ‘black men’ commit more crimes in a certain area...

They soon realise how stupid it is.

[–]Consilio_et_Animis[S] 16 points17 points18 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Here are some tactics:

  1. Ask them: "Do you believe in the Christian notion of 'Jewish deicide', which is the belief that all Jewish people are collectively responsible for the death of Jesus? This was only repudiated by the Pope in 1965 — after nearly 2,000 years. This was one of the reasons the Nazis gave for their genocide against the Jewish people.
  2. Do they believe that all Muslims are collectively responsible for 9/11? And all the other terrorist acts committed by Muslims?
  3. On January 25th 2021 in London, a 15 year old black boy, Romario Opia was knifed to death by a 17 year old black boy. Did the 15 year old somehow deserve it because his murderer was male? Was his death less tragic because he was black, and his killer was black?
  4. What act is more evil: A woman murdered by a man; or a woman murdered by a woman?

[–]CDEDC 13 points14 points15 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Gangs (organized & unorganized) consist of mostly males, otherwise a gang will get destroyed quickly. Gang members represent a very small fraction of the population and they target males and females, whatever is better for them (most stats prove that they attack males more). Why do they criticize all men because of a minority of gang males but they don't criticize all females because of gang females? The female gang members don't do the dirty work because they are weak and they will often get destroyed but that doesn't mean that they don't cause violence by proxy (e.g. a female sending her lover to kill/torture her husband; a female sending her brothers to attack her husband), that they don't lure the victim and take him/her to a place to get attacked (e.g. a prostitute calling her pimp to come threat her client and take all his money)... As they say in french «cherchez la femme», which means "look for the woman".

[–]Banake 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

There was a case in my city where a woman and her lover contracted a hitman to kill her husband. I don't doubt that things such as this would change stats a bit, as he technically was killed by another man.

[–]CDEDC 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It happens all over the world. A few months ago an egyptian woman sent her lover to kill her husband. A few days ago a lebanese-american woman paid 2 big guys to assault and humiliate her friend. Another woman sent her brothers and cousins to assault her ex... In the stats, it is all male on male violence but if you dig a little deeper, you'll find the females behind the scene.

[–]zeerust2000 13 points14 points15 points 5 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

They are implying something that they don't want to say directly, and they want you to complete the implication. The implication being, of course, that men in general are flawed and pathologically disposed to violence. Another implication being that women are not.

[–]MakhshavaBikortit 9 points10 points11 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Do then biological gender does exist. They need to get their stuff together.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yep, I've had discussions with people today where they end up admitting to that belief after some prodding.

[–]Owenmolava 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I agree with your observation. What I find funny is right after they try to establish that as their claim, they tell us "the onus should be on changing male behavior". If we are inherently violent then this is the expected result and you SHOULD encourage women to fear men more than try to change male behavior. If you think men WOULD respond to being taught that "Violent actions are bad" then I would not call that inherent violence in our gender. But if a woman cannot tell others of the same gender her experience as a professor of criminal studies, who is really the group who will not listen and "take no for an answer".

[–]GunOfSod 13 points14 points15 points 5 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

The majority of infanticide cases are children that have been killed by women. Should we ban all women from contact with children after 6pm?

[+]datatroves -15 points-14 points-13 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Nope, because if you take the risk of killing a child per hour, its about six times lower in women.

Remembered from a very old criminal psych class.

[–]tenchineuro 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Nope, because if you take the risk of killing a child per hour, its about six times lower in women.

If women kill more infants (and they do) then the risk can't be lower for women.

[–]ImportantResults 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

How can it be lower in women if it's higher in women? LOL

Six times lower? according to what... who...? ...forget it, it's bullshit.

[–]todoke 9 points10 points11 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That's super easy. The sex of the person that murders you is irrelevant. Which group you want to belong to? The one that statistically gets murdered more, or the one that gets murdered less?

I always put it like this: You are about to have a child and you get to choose something that can significantly contribute to their safety and wellbeing in life. Let's call it option A or B.

If you choose A the chance of your child dying of a violent unnatural death is 1/4 of B and your child will likely live 7 years longer. If you chose B, your child will be 4x more likely to die a violent death compared to A and also likely have a 7 years shorter life.

What do you choose? Obviously everyone will choose A. Well then congratulations, if you chose A your child will be born female which means living 7 years longer and only a 1/4 of the male homicide rate.

[–]higgs456 5 points6 points7 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The vast majority of men hate criminal behavior and would like to see it go away and proactively support measures to limit criminal behavior. Criminality ends up being mostly perpetrated by men for a variety of structural reasons, but men in general oppose criminals and especially ones that attack women.

[–]Powerful-Building833 3 points4 points5 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That's infuriating. As if male victims belong in the same category as the perpetrators rather than the other victims due to the fact that they have the same genitals. As if the vast majority of peaceful and innocent men are somehow complicit due to their gender. Usually this argument is simply made to defend the idea of blaming men as a whole and making this a male vs female thing whenever it is mentioned that men are also a majority of victims. Imo that already invalidates it. Because what's the point? Because the perpetrators are mostly male, all men are to blame? Makes no sense.

[–]lestratege 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Then you ask if the issue is "women being victims" or "men being aggressors"?

Because statistically, women are NOT the main victims. They're half the population, but they are much less than half of the victims of violent crimes so they are under-represented among the victims, so why should we focus on the people less impacted?

Now, if they say that the issue is about men being aggressors, then ask them why are women feeling entitled to lecture men on how men should behave while the same feminists reject the right of men to even suggest how women should behave. If they want to have the right to lecture men about how men act because these actions affect women, then why feminists tell men they have no rights to lecture women about women's actions even when those affect men, like false rape accusation, abortion, child custody, alimony, etc.

If you are truly for equality, then you have to admit both ways or none. But not only one way. Unless of course, you're not for equality.

[–]Comfortable_Ad8938 7 points8 points9 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Does it matter? If a black police officer kills a black man, is it not police brutality??

The holocaust consisted of a lot of german people murdering german jews. That doesn't make it any less wrong or evil.

[–]Ukman_44 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I counter it by saying that 99.999% of men don't commit murder. Last year there were 683 homicides in England and Wales (not all committed by men), with a population of about 30 million men.

It's not about men vs women. It's about murderers vs non murderers.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

They're literally just admitting they don't give a fuck about women, that they only use those statistics for collective demonization and somehow claiming female on female and male on male homicide are less serious crimes than female on male and male on female homicides.

[–]Parking-Tap1372 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

A bit late but I have a lovely response!

Say ironically off to the side (so they can hear it)

"HEY INNOCENT MEN!!!! YOUR FEELINGS AND THE FACT THAT YOUVE BEEN ATTACKED DON'T MATTER BECAUSE YOU WERE ATTACKED BY A MAN"

Then look at the person with a "That's you, that's what you sound like" look on your face.

[–]ImportantResults 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

It's a good idea and I have done that if not something very similar... the only problem is the other person becomes defensive and won't listen any more.

[–]Parking-Tap1372 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

True. Another way that works is asking people to confirm stuff. You need to be judicious with this because if you twist peoples words then they can take issue with that and that can detract from the topic.

When someone says "yeah but they were attacked by a man probably!", ask them "So you're saying that men being attacked and hurt matter less because their attacker was a man?"

They will ALSO get defensive. This is what WILL happen. You CAN'T avoid it.

Then keep asking them to confirm what they say in plain language (NOT TWISTING IT)

You don't change peoples minds by tip toeing around them. All YOU can do is BE RESPECTFUL (even if they falsely accused you of not being so) and just stick to your guns.

[–]hatsan69 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That's basically the same as the high crime rate in African American neighborhoods shouldnt be taken seriously because most of the crimes are committed by African Americans

[–]TracyMorganFreeman 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Simple: you're not more or less of a victim based on who victimized you.

Blacks are the majority of murder victims, and are primarily killed by other blacks. Should we just dismiss the fact their communities are tearing themselves apart because they're "just killing each other?"

You don’t because it’s not an argument

[–]datatroves -5 points-4 points-3 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

The argument is more along the lines off 'these men put themselves into harms way'.

When you look at the stats, most of them have some kind of involvement in crime that lead to the incident that killed them. About 1/4 of them are estimated to have instigated the incident that killed them as the aggressor. It's called a "victim precipitated crime."

About 80% of US victims have an arrest record, it makes that much difference to your chances of dying.

That's not normally the case with women. About 60% die from partner/ex DV, IIRC. You don't see women hitting the streets to hassle people on the same scale and getting killed in fights.

[–]Jakeybaby125 4 points5 points6 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

So fucking what? It's still bad regardless of who's doing it. It doesn't matter if it's a cis het white man or a black trans lesbian woman. What matters is that you committed the fucking crime and should be punished for it

[–]MrPernicious 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I don't know about where you live but on a night out I see plenty of women starting fights. Then their bf / male friends / random white knights get dragged into it when it escalates and the guys then take the most damage.

If anything, I'd guess that women instigate more physical confrontations than guys.

Addressing the concerns over street safety, FitzGerald said: “I think I’m entitled to say as a woman, we shouldn’t pander to stereotypes and get hysterical.

“Let’s not get this out of proportion and let’s not wind each other up to be unduly fearful,” she told Today on BBC Radio 4. “The reason why we remember these cases are precisely because they are so rare. We should hold on to that.”

Nice, finally some common sense!

[–]Consilio_et_Animis[S] 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Funny how she is only wheeled out, with a pretty white woman is murdered. What about all the black women that have been murdered? Can anyone name one of them?

[–]GranaT0 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Same has been said for George Floyd. Other men of other races were killed the same way he was, but only his death sparked outrage. Its not about who's the victim, its about people having had enough.

[–]Alarming_Draw 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

And now shes been slammed for saying this across all newspapers-they are using the angle that she 'described feminists as hysterical'. Typical they cant argue the facts so they resort to smearing!!

Ironically, even thats right in that they are hysterical...

I hate to say it but being "safe" is not a right. It's a luxury. We do our best to make a society where we can feel safe from the dangers of the natural world, but that doesn't come with any guarantees. Even being in your own home there is no guarantee of safety. Shit happens. A plane could land on your house, a grizzly bear could tear down your door (happened to my neighbour), shit happens. All those things that we think are rights. They aren't. If it can be taken away. Then it's not a right.

Breathing isn't even a right.

Life is a luxury. No matter how shitty yours is.

[–]BurningOrangeHeaven 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Safety, especially in a city, is and always will be an illusion.

[–]dukunt 6 points7 points8 points 5 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

That's what feminists have forgotten. Men built society to keep women and children safe. Safety is paramount. Now that women feel safe. They think they don't need men. They've taken safety for granted. So when shit happens to them, they blame men. They've forgotten about all the dangers that the natural world brings. Early death from childbirth, starvation, natural disasters, wild animals, men have fought back the elements to such an extent that women don't see any of it as a threat anymore. The only threat they see now is men. They've forgotten everything good that men have done and just see the bad.

That's why I got such a kick from watching that old Survivor series when they would put men against women to see who fairs better living on a deserted island. The women fail in epic fashion. While the men succeed in glory and come to the aid of women. Women can't live without us. They're just incapable of seeing it due to the ultra safe societies that we've created. We've done too good of a job. And now men pay the price.

Like Bill Burr says, there are no feminists in a disaster.

[–]panconquesofrito 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I mean, women can learn survival skills like any men honestly. War is where the solid divide is. You know which country does not have a gender war? China.

[–]dudeman746 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I apologize if I'm off base here and I might get downvoted to oblivion, but you don't sound like a MRA when you say you get a kick out of women failing. You sound like a misogynist. Do better, man. You aren't helping us when you try to drive a wedge between us.

Focus on inequity, don't bring up some shit you saw on a show once. In the words of Biden, "Come on, man."

PS. Bill Burr is funny as shit.

[–]dukunt 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I'm not misogynist. I love women. I have 2 daughters. One is gay. I support her. I support all my kids equally. I teach my daughter's to be self-sufficient. I do find it amusing when feminist say that women are just as capable as men at everything and to say otherwise is misogynistic, yet women living longer is because women are just genetically superior that way. Why not bother trying to see why men don't live as long and help men? They've studied longevity between nuns and monks. They live similar lifestyles so they are a good place to look when studying longevity between the sexes. You know what they found? The gap closes to about a year's difference. Women are genetically better parents? The courts seem to think so. Women's mental illness is everyone's problem yet how many men on the streets are mentally ill? They look at those men like it's the choice that they've made. Believe all women. You know what the other side of that is right? All men are liars.

Men can't be raped. My best friend Graham would disagree with that. Unfortunately he's too dead to talk about it. He was only 12.

Here's a story for you. I have 3 young children. Girl, boy, girl. I'm a single parent (I'm sure that you're not surprised). My children go to French Catholic school. Both my daughter's were given counseling, taken on personalized field trips by the school, given things because they only have one parent.

You know what they did for my son? "We think he would be happier at another school.." Swept under the rug. Guess how many parents my son has? 1. Same as my daughters. Yet they were given help. But not him.

The school system is run my women. I'm a teacher. I know. They don't care about the boys. The give 80% of the awards to girls. They are lifting girls up at the expense of our boys and that is not right. Ive seen how boys are treated. At best, at the very best they are swept under the rug. That's the most you can hope for if you have boys. At worst they are told they are all potential rapists. It's a misandrist world out there. I'm just the required pushback. So did I chuckle at the irony when I watched Survivor? You bet I did. I like irony. The harder feminist try to keep boys down, the more boys will rise to the top. Men continue to prove this again and again. I don't hate women. I love women. But I also root for the underdog. And these days that's men. So when the underdog wins, I cheer.

Peace brother. PS, I didn't downvote you.

Men are the predominate victims of violence. For many women, this is meaningless, because they see men as subhuman, and worthless.

Any woman who focuses only of female deaths is a sexist pig.

[–]Throway26394726 8 points9 points10 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Full disclosure- I’m a woman. I believe in a form of equality but guys get shit on a lot. My sister is a psychiatrist at a male prison. I made a joke once if she was looking for a new husband and she got deadly serious and told me something I’ve always remembered. She said in a male prison even the worst things that could happen to her would be rape or being hit. But she said she would never work in a women’s prison because women will kill you.

[–]Worldly-Twist 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Why is it more likely that women would kill a female psychiatrist though? Can you explain that please?

[–]Throway26394726 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I actually was young at the time 17ish- and ended up working in a similar field for a while. Obviously you aren’t a woman so you wouldn’t have been socialized in the toxic nature most women are socialized in. We compete with each other, women are BRUTAL not just to men but can be EXTRA brutal to other women. Again I am talking about women that are in prison, not jail. Maybe the best way I can describe it is to think about Libby Borden. She was found not guilty because a jury of 12 men could not believe a woman could do such a thing- especially to her father and her (hated) step mother. But yeah- most people today agree that she in fact is the most likely culprit and had she been tried today she would be in prison. Women are unassuming and timid looking, like me- I’m 5’5.5”. In a short little white girl. No guys have ever saw me and just ran because I look like I’m going to kill them, but in early adulthood you’ll hear women say often “I just don’t like other women so I hang out with guys.” I’m sure everyone has heard that from a girl at some point. That statement can be taken different ways1 but most of the time it’s either 1) they hate women because they want to be the prettiest or the funniest or the sexiest or 2) other women have been so fucking mean to them they really don’t like them in general. I am not proud of this but I was a “mean girl” in most of high school but something really traumatic happened and it changed me a lot. I became so compassionate and saw the struggles people faced. I stopped being a mean girl. But women are terrifying to me even sometimes. When a woman feels like she has been fucked over or hates her situation or whatever and decided to become violent they tend to kill not to just punch each other like a guys fight outside a bar. Women don’t do that in general- they plot and scheme and are insidious. So if you’re in a women’s prison with women that may be violent for any number of reasons and you don’t do what they want you to do they’ll fucking kill you. Women don’t hold back. At ALL. I was in a relationship once and didn’t know the man that well yet but he was a recovering alcoholic. He relapsed and I was unaware. He had also been IVCed a few times. He attacked me. My mother was a sensei in judo and my dad was ATF/US Marshall/secret service and other shit he couldn’t talk about. But I know how to disarm men and how to attack of need be. But men are bigger a lot of the time than women. He was a huge guy and I fought back hard- I didn’t hold back at all- he had had a psychotic break triggered by substance abuse and out of no where tried to kill me. I used everything I had against him. So- as a woman I went for the eyes- I went for the balls- I went for using my legs which are much stronger than my upper body but he pinned me down with his legs and arms and tried to chock me while banging my head into a wooden floor. I bit him so hard but I couldn’t escape. So if you’re a woman who is violent and you hate women especially a person in prison that has that much power over you getting what you want or don’t want- yeah they’re going to kill that woman. A man- in general would have a much better chance to physically overtake a woman. Like what happened to me- I couldn’t physically overtake him- but I gotta give my Grate Dane much love- he attacked the guy who had lost his mind and attacked him. My dog went for his throat. He saved my life that night because when my dog attacked was when he had grabbed his pistol from his truck and had my arms pinned down with his legs and held it point blank to my forehead. If my hands were free I could have probably disarmed him- but he had 100 pounds and 7 inches on me.

TLDR: women sometimes hate other women. If violent more likely to kill a woman than a man.

when a woman dies, it makes the news as a tragedy. when a man dies, it becomes a statistic. I think that says something about which gender is seen as more valuable by society...

[–]asplorer 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

A female professor says not to be hysterical and 'critics' ignores that because her opinion doesn't matter. Why can't these people see the irony in that.

[–]Owenmolava 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

What I find funny is right after they try to establish that as their claim, they tell us "the onus should be on changing male behavior". If we are inherently violent then this is the expected result and you SHOULD encourage women to fear men more than try to change male behavior. If you think men WOULD respond to being taught that "Violent actions are bad" then I would not call that inherent violence in our gender. But if a woman cannot tell others of the same gender her experience as a professor of criminal studies, who is really the group who will not listen and "take no for an answer".

[–]Hannahgemmamorris 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

there is more violence towards men. fact. i hate hearing this stuff. cant we just all be equal.

This is what happens when you already are given everything you asked, but then you need an excuse to get more. Women already have rights. Already are far more protected than men. Women, specially white middle-class women (the typical feminist) are the most privileged class in history, by far. But then they need more rights, to stay privileged, so they start twisting facts and plainly making up things to get more.

Remember, people in privileged positions tend to stay on them.

Baroness Jones is calling for a curfew for men. So now you have to be home before 6 pm regardless of if you are an innocent man who is just trying to make an honest living. All men will have a curfew now. People are actually backing this.

https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/14317906/baroness-jones-6pm-curfew-sarah-everard/

I guess you don't even need to do anything wrong now, you automatically receive a soft prison sentence (home arrest after 6 pm) just because you were born a man.

Homeless men instantly go to jail, they are criminals because of the recession I guess.

For some context on this:

When men get killed on the street it's nearly always as the result of some altercation, and as a rule most male homicide victims have a criminal history that put them into that risky situation. Often gang involvement, or drugs, or just being aggressive when in the pub.

These crimes are virtually unpreventable, unless you want police state level bans on drugs, alcohol and gangs with non stop stop and search for guns and knives.

According to a couple of American police depts, over 80% of homicides have prior arrests.

When women get killed it's normally a partner, or someone she knows well, and it's usually in her own home.

These are the cases that are often preventable, by police properly dealing with stalkers and domestic abusers. So you have a blameless victim, plus a mostly preventable crime.. that's why these cases get more attention.

When women get hauled off the streets by predators like this guy, it's pretty uncommon, but people get upset about it because you have an innocent victim. You see the same kind of outrage when male teachers get killed trying to break up fights.

So, it's pretty much the innocent victim part of this, plus he was a cop that used to warrant card to get her compliance, that has set people off.
