Had a manager slap my butt once but didn’t say anything because of how embarrassing it made me feel to talk about it. I told a bunch of my guy friends that my managers were abusive ( in the exploiting my kindness and getting me to do a bunch of not so fun stuff around the workplace) and some of the friends took it as sexual abuse and made fun of me for a while. I’m no longer friends with those people but ya kinda shys me away from coming forward from this kinda stuff when that’s the reaction I got from a a misinterpretation.

If you have any hard evidence (email, text, phone message) or even soft evidence (coworker testimony) that your boss blew you off when you reported this, you REALLY need to go get a free consult with a civil attorney. Sounds like a great hostile workplace lawsuit with a potentially big payout.

Congratulations on this outcome and the action you took. At 17 Im sure it took a lot of courage to push back against this woman and your workplace that (1) allowed it to happen to you and (2) ignored your report when you were brave enough to report it. You are obviously a confident and focused young man , qualities that will serve you well into the future, knowing that what you experienced is not acceptable in the workplace.

Bloody well done, thanks for the upload of this story. Your boss sounds like a thoughtless fool, and that coworker deserves to get the full brunt of the law. Even if you were of a persuasion to respond positively to that kind of attention, that would not have gone in your favour, as with the way that sexual discrimination laws are enforced in most fields. You did what you had to do and you were smart about it.

I was so saddened after going public with my own story of abuse when my family and friends came and told me of their own. Several were men, none of whom sought justice.

Is it embarrassment? The lack of ability for society to believe women are capable of this? People often have an unwillingness to believe things they don’t understand. Make sense of them in their own minds according to their own experiences.

But these situations don’t make sense. They’re not rational. They’re not how people behave.

They’re sick people that abuse power, anyone like this is capable of abuse regardless of gender.

So sorry you went through this. Good for you for being strong and helping other people with your story and your efforts!

Now, take your copy of the evidence, make another copy, and hand it over, along with anything documenting her arrest, over to the boss's boss. I hope you actually documented the boss telling you no as well. That person needs to be let go as well. Glad your parents support you.

wtf, you mention 17 like it's no big deal, but in most places, assuming they were 18+, that makes them legally a pedophile.

Now personally I think a 17 and 18 year old should be able to screw as much as they want, but when it's non consensual even small age gaps are more significant, and she was more senior in your workplace I imagine? Both of these make it even more messed up.

Be careful man, women are not your friends and more harpys like this. I avoid working with females if possible. I'm fountain enough to work with in the family business and avoid bad females as a whole and enjoy a peaceful life. Do what must be done, get a job far away from women, you think they come after you at 17 just wait till your 25 or 50 they moment your sexy or wealthy to them. They will be on you like a plague. Avoid them and stay single before you end up in a problem where sexual harress you and you report her and she pulls out the reverse card and fuck you over.
