I filed in December 2021. My Final Hearing was supposed to be next Tuesday; been counting the days down, ready to close this awful chapter in my life, and begin writing the next chapter(s).

This afternoon, her counsel asked if we could push it back a month. If I declined, her counsel would just file a continuance and I’d have to pay for my lawyer to go to court over this. So I just agreed to it.

But gahdamnit it was crushing. Infuriating too.

So I decided to flip gears, and stay positive, which is why I’m writing now. I want to plan something for the day it finally does get finalized.

I’d prefer a nice bottle of scotch, or tequila, and just have a night to savor the beginning of my new life.

What did you poor bastards do to celebrate once you finally made it through the gauntlet?
