Note: We live in Ohio.

I tried to do all of this without attorney involvement. The moment I asked to collect the information I got a lawyer letter. Okay…. So now it’s like playing poker but she’s got to show me her hand before I play. I will lawyer up later, when actually needed.

So, fine, I’ll have you pay someone $200-500/hr to do what I was going to do. No issues there.

Some Facts: Two young kids are involved so that’s a parenting plan. Most likely a near 50/50.

We both make almost the same amount of money so the alimony piece won’t exist.

Home has around $150k/equity in it. Her 401K is about $500k and mine is about $155k.

I’m going for the jugular here. I was nice forever and was a walkover for her to satisfy her own needs and not be a spouse. (Of course now she has all that energy for a new man$.

I don’t think she realizes that she stands to lose as much as she is going to. Or maybe that’s why she found a boyfriend three hours away. He happens to be a law partner, so who knows if he’s just her simp.

Am I wrong for demanding a split division of assets? I think she’s just going to lose her shit when she realizes she needs to fork over $200k+ in assets and get me off the under 3% mortgage.
