I’m a woman lurking here so I can gain insight and help a couple men close to me fare better in their split. I just wanna say… (Good) Men are WONDERFUL people who do so much for the people around them, sacrifice a lot, and put their heads down when shit gets tough to the point that you don’t even recognize how bad it is at times. You’re expected to be misunderstood while making efforts to understand and sacrifice more. The way you love is different, and society has deemed it unacceptable for women to be expected to understand you (or even love you in ways that feel best to you without being treated like you need to be more like a woman or that you’re a pervert).

But not everyone is asleep to the value of men.

So, if no one has told you today:

I’m proud of you

You’re a great father

You’re more than enough

I’m sorry that your love and effort has gone unnoticed or taken for granted

You are appreciated

Your presence in the world carries much value

Keep being your best and the right people will see it
