What this proves is that if you are high-profile and have money then you can spend a lot of money on lawyers to prove that a woman lied and manipulated you.

For the rest of us, women's word's are taken as truth without evidence and our rights as men get boot stomped into the dirt.

He now has the ability to resurrect his career. He won in the court of public opinion way before the verdict was read. The fact that she recorded everything he said and done; without recording any violence perpetrated on her speaks volumes.

I find it sad that married independent women need to stoop to these tactics to take men's money, or take their children. Her cheating was so blatant. Why would these men stupidly go to his house. I know she was doing it to emasculate Johnny.

My thoughts on Depp are "don't stick your dick in crazy".

I don't quite know how they met or dated, and I don't want to know, but that level of crazy must have been obvious to both, and like moths drawn to flame thought it was no doubt "exciting" and "fun" and "thrilling" and unique.

And this is how it ended, it a great big fireball.

I'm pleased to see that a majority of women are taking Depp's side, and that the few women that are knee jerking Heard are getting shouted down. Maybe the age of #metoo without evidence is over.

She was still awarded a (relatively) small sum for damages. The message is even if the man is a victim, he's never 100% innocent. Even when we are the victim, we take some blame. It's the "raped woman in a slutty dress" mentality, just reverse. Unfortunately.

I think this is zero velocity in terms of this age long issue. Now the me too/DV victimization has hit it's peak. This gives men a stepping stone to use the data at hand to illustrate the point that it was all bullshit. The only way this goes away is if men stop paying attention or become passive again. We must stay vigilant.

One thing it has done for me personally is it has made it a lot easier for people to understand what I went through. No, she didn't cut my finger off or poop in my bed, but there was a whole lot of other emotional BS that she did, plus sleep deprivation, sexual assault (yes that's a thing even in marriage), trying to alienate the kids against me, and even some physical abuse.

Depp made all this a lot more believable and that I'm not just being "whiny" and that I shouldn't just "suck it up and be a man" (f$#@ing misandry).

If you're going to marry, marry someone who makes more money than you. The legal system is designed above all else to extract money from clients in order to enrich lawyers. The person with more to lose is generally at a disadvantage.

I watched MSNBC last night and they was treating this case like a liberal vs conservative issue. This is a men's issue. This a character issue. Just as important women of abuse should be Heard; women who lie about such abuse should be called to account.

She recorded his every conversation; every outlandish out burst for more than a year, but no actual acts of violence towards anyone. The relationship was toxic on both sides. She got out of the relationship unscathed, but the opportunistic part of her tried to ride the "me too" bubble. Well bubbles burst if you fill them with too much hot air.

If you have tons of money and don't mind airing all your dirty laundry, yes you can win a case as a man.

However, even still they had to cut the sting of Amber Heard losing by giving her a token amount of money to allow her to save face. That's why certain outlets say that "Deep and Heard both guilty of defamation" instead of the more accurate headline of "Depp wins".
