Might just be a smidge of jealousy talking but I think everyone should have a vocation. I played it old school and let her stay home with the agreement that she find a job once the kids were in school.....That has turned into me being "less available" for the kids and my kids thinking being a bum is normal. Why work hard when someone else will pay you to stay home? Granted, she doesn't even complete general SAH duties.... Hey, more power to ya brother, just don't be a bum.

My ex wife made $350k, and I stayed home and took care of most everything else. It was fine until she betrayed me and refused to accept responsibility. Long story short, she moved out, and I got $3k per month for a year. Plus I kept the house which is paid for. She sounds like a victim but she made the decision to leave.

Mine makes more then me but she won’t put the hours in. She is a RN and she started turning down shifts at work. She is under my insurance so she doesn’t have to keep up a certain amount of hours. I told my lawyer she was turning down shifts to party and my ex sent me a texts of her arguing with her boss. She turned down a shift to go have drinks and her boss was pissed. SHE SENZ ME THE TEXT!!? So my lawyer puts a subpoena on her texts with her boss. Turns out she told her boss in a text “ I won’t be picking up shifts for a while. I’m trying to get alimony from my ex husband and my lawyer told me to stop working.” Yeah. WTF right? So now she has lied twice about what she makes. She won’t put the correct number in the child support document. I have filed 16 months ago!! I’m at the end of my ropes. She won’t leave my house. We have been married for 5 years now but waited 16 of that marriage for a divorce. I lived in the house ten years before she even showed up. She never paid anything.. never had a bill in her name. She wants to break me. Saying horrible shit to my 12 year old daughter. It’s a fucking shit show. She wanted to fuck other guys and since I filed for divorce I somehow am the asshole and going to pay the whole way

If I had suggested to my ex and her lawyer that she get a second job so I didn’t have to her spousal support and alimony I think everyone would have laughed me out of the court house.

I would have flipped her off. She needs to nut up and shut up with her ideas. I would take no excuses and involve the courts against her if she misses any payments.
