Oh hell no literally living a nightmare...Even the lie about what he went to jail for is insane 🤯 how can anyone be okay with that?

Ladies please if a man has served time in prison just make it an all-encompassing rule to drop them. And like this post says please find out if he has any prior records.

You do not even need to know the reason why they served. There are plenty other men who have not been in trouble with the law at the very least.

I had a college professor who had murdered his first wife. We all held our breath when he’d bring his little boy to class. He was easily in his late 50s/ early 60s with a young new wife. We always wondered if she knew.

And this is why men voluntarily admit such serious things early on it is always a red flag. Because they're always lying. They make up a story and they make sure that that story is the first one you here. It's always the tip of the iceberg.

Men will almost always try to get ahead of the truth with some bullshit story. He manipulated and assaulted his ex? “She was crazy.” He has a DV charge? “She attacked me first.” Etc etc

I mean I wouldn't even be in that situation because I wouldn't date a murderer, but say someone I've been on a few dates with tells me that, how would you queens handle it? Would you finish the date and then block and delete after? Just because you're scared of his reaction? Would you walk out right then? If we're following FDS this should be a date at a restaurant but I'm talking practical strategy for staying safe after that reveal.

Google isn't enough; go to the library and get on EBSCO and LexisNexis and ProQuest and whatever other databases they have.

The pastor at my parents' church (not mine) was a former cop who choked a black suspect to death. Pastor told everyone he was innocent. I looked up the text of the case and found that he probably wasn't. He still got off with just being fired, not murder (because ACAB), but was very angry about his termination (as if getting away with murder wasn't enough). I never went to that church again. No way am I going to listen to the word of God from the mouth of a LVM.

I was getting a very off feeling about a guy my friend has started seeing just based off of how charming he was on the first date and how quickly she revealed vulnerable information about herself to him. I asked for his name and phone number so I could run a background check. It turns out the career he claims to have is different from the one on the background check and he has over a dozen traffic-related incidents on his criminal record. When I told her, she said she wasn’t concerned and that the part about his career on the background check was inaccurate. I’m really, really worried for her given the research linking aggressive driving and narcissism, and the fact that she takes him for his word re: his career.

Rule number one, never date any ex felons or someone with a criminal history. It doesn’t matter if they served time for it! It always ends badly.
