Usually I’d drop a man the second I smell inconsistency and don’t give it any thought.

I met up with a man (27, i am 21) and we had a wonderful time. I truly mean it: I could sense he was smitten with me. Our first date felt like a vacation. A calm I have never felt with anyone.

When we were walking back he reached out to hold my hand and could not let go. I thought it was cute. There was a guy playing his guitar on the way, when he sensed I was “admiring” his guitar skills I could feel him getting a little insecure. He said he was trying to learn etc to impress me.

I’m mentioning that because now, after the first amazing date, he’s basically ignoring me. Even though he was the one tripping over himself for me.

He makes it a point to let me know he’s working, running, having a great time with his friends, celebrating etc. Replies after hours.

I asked once, “can I ask you something? Why are you being so distant all of a sudden?”

I got “I was sleeping.”

Now should I be even bothering at this point? “I was sleeping.” was a big slap to my face. I didn’t reply and I don’t intend to chase him or initiate.

I think I intimidated him and now he is resorting to hot and cold techniques. My gut is rarely off and it’s telling me this is not a manipulator.

I feel like he wants to get rid of me because I scare him. I’ve had this feeling with other guys but they were full of crap compared to him.

Have you ladies made any experiences like this? Where you know he’s genuine but it sort of doesn’t matter because he still resorts to game tactics? Do men who feel intimidated do this?

EDIT: I am not interested in chasing this man!!!! I am never bending for anyone! I have already removed myself from any conversation. I model part time and people do get intimidated by that. It’s not a myth.

I just want to know if you ladies have made similar experiences! Again, Im not interested in playing pickmeisha

EDIT 2: The original post never had me modeling in it. I didn’t want to mention it. It’s not my identity nor do I pride myself on it. You are right, obviously long term, it doesn’t matter. But for first impressions it is not a myth.

Also should have just asked if anyone has experienced an actual shy / initimidated man. Statistically there must be someone male actually shy and not manipulatitive (im talking first impressions!!!).
