I strongly advise childfree women to never date single dads. Single dads won't tell you this because keeping you on the back burner benefits them. Here are some reasons to never go into a relationship that is on uneven emotional footing

I do not feel comfortable that the baby mama will forever be a part of his life. Having children with someone is probably the closest bond two people can have and that would bother me if he has a special connection to his ex. I dated a divorced dad who told me in a roundabout way that his ex wife will always have a place in his heart as she gave birth to his kids. That is fine but I am not going to compete with her.

Dating a single father, you will be expected to be the new mommy no matter what he says. You'll be in a weird position where you will have all the, responsibility of being a parent but none of the power. You will always be that evil stepmother who has to win over the kids and being a stepmom is a thankless job.

Another reason why I refuse to date a single father is because of the money aspect. He will most likely have to pay for alimony and child support but I want his money to go towards our household, not for his exes and kids. You will also be expected to support his family even though you had no hand in creating it. I want to be able to retire and have things for myself.

But the biggest reason I refuse to date a single parent is because I will never be his first priority. I will have to compete with his kids' for his love and attention. The times I dated single fathers, I harbored jealousy and resentment towards his kids as an outsider. No way I will ever endure that again
