I think if we accept that all men cheat then we both devalue them as a species AND we’d basically be excusing it as quintessential male behaviour. If we continued to date under this belief, we’d be essentially saying that it’s something we’re willing to tolerate.

I don’t think ALL men cheat. But I do think a LOT of men cheat. And sometimes that’s full-on cheating and sometimes it’s, “My wife doesn’t understaaaand me,” texts with old flames.

In fairness, a lot of women cheat too. I know so many women who have cheated on their partners/spouses. It’s not something women talk about a lot, I think because we are way more harshly judged for it than men are, but it’s super common too.

Regardless of gender: STOP FREAKING CHEATING ON PEOPLE!! Idk what is so hard about that. Be loyal. Don’t be a d!ck.

I think so. I've dated guys who were ugly af and even they cheated/tried to cheat because my dating them gave them a bigger ego than they deserved.

I've been cheated on only once (as far as I know) and in retrospect it was obvious from the start that this particular man was capable of cheating. I think that at the end of the day it boils down to whether or not he respects himself.

It REALLY depends on the man. There are men who don't value sex as much as you might think. For example there are also asexual males, why would they cheat? Demisexual men, who only feel sexual attraction to someone they have a deep emotional connection to. I don't think that ALL men cheat. I think that a shitton of men would be able to cheat, definitely not every single one.

Not all of them, but it's dire out there and we need to be ruthless in cutting off people who show any signs of dishonesty, pornsickness because vAriEtY, or other shady traits.

Going by some statistics I found, in the previous year, 4% of married men, 16% of cohabiting men, and 37% of dating men had cheated. Because these studies are probably self-reported, and marriage is preceded by dating and often cohabiting and the whole relationship will obviously last several years/decades, my speculative guess is that in a random long-term relationship the likelihood of the man cheating at some point is at least 75%. Many of the remaining men also just don't have the opportunity, like you said, and will still neglect you in favor of porn or whatever.

But there are still some who are actually devoted to their partners and will never cheat. Maybe it's just 1 in 10, so it's very important to not make dating the main goal you have in life, and it's totally fine if it sometimes seems too exhausting to be worth it. Just never relax your standards even an inch when you weed out potential cheaters.

Statistically men and women cheat at comparable rates, it’s the reasons they cheat that differ. You’re right that men are more more opportunistic, all the more reason to seek out a HVM and not settle for less.

They do not. Not at all. But enough do that the ones who do can make excuses that its "normal". Non of the men I work with cheat. Any man I've continued being friends with due to friend groups does not. Alot of them still looking for a soul mate actually. Hard for them to cheat when single. No they for sure do not. I think thier level of self love has waaaaay lower to do with it than sexual urges. The ones who have more foresight find it easy to forgo cheating because they are building a life with some one they love. I cant throw out a number but I feel like.... I feem like I've known ones who do and ones who wouldnt at all.

My ex husband cheated with paid subscriptions to porn models. I don’t think he would ever cheat with a real life woman but I dunno. And I dunno if there is really a difference in the end if he is thinking about sex with his porn models and not his wife.

Most of my male friends cheat on their ladies, if not sex, they'd ask a girl for her number or invite her for coffee/movie/dinner. And that's still cheating!

I don't think all men cheat.

Even though my ex was a LVM, he loved the hell outta me and never cheated. He literally would just go to work and come home to me, that's it. I'd have to beg him to hangout with his friend's because he only wanted to be under me.
