That probably applies to any female-led mainstream media. For example, many people didn’t like Captain Marvel for valid reasons, but it’s not hard to notice pretty misogynistic undertones in some guys’ critique of that movie or of Brie period.

The flip side of this is: he looooved Wonder Woman/Captain Marvel/other female lead….because she’s so smokin hot! If they can’t find a single good thing about a female character other than her T&A it’s also a good sign to 🚮

While I'm not single, I still enjoy vetting people by asking their opinion on characters like Sansa and Catelyn Stark, Rey from Star Wars, or Amy Dunne. Female characters who are either unfairly hated for disagreeing with a man or get criticized for just for the wrong reasons.

People often hate fictional women for really misogynistic reasons and don't even think about why they hate them.

Ask what he thinks of Knives X Scott X Ramona in Scott Pilgrim vs the world.

Ask his opinion on ALL female star wars characters through the whole film series. Pay attention what he says about the ones in power.

I am a black woman. I asked every white guy I was dating when Black Panther came out if he was going to see it. I knew some men who were obsessed with Marvel. If they even hesitated about going to see Black Panther, I knew it was about race. You’ve seen every movie in the MCU including the freaking Guardians of the Galaxy but you don’t know if Black Panther is “a necessary watch”. F you.

I use Hannah Gadsby's Nanette as a vettng strategy. If you can't sit through that without opening your mouth and start to defensively mansplain, I don't need you in my life.

To be fair, even I didn’t finish season 6😂got turned off by the show not because Claire became President, but because Kevin Spacey was exposed as a pedo. Kinda ruined it for me

I love this! Claire as president to wrap up the show was delightful. The writers just wrote whats-his-face out and moved along, as they should have.

Also ask a guy what he thought about movies like Black Widow, Captain Marvel, and Wonder Woman. They'll always tell on themselves.

Ooh nice one. I’ve found their reactions to characters like Arya Stark in Game of Thrones is also very telling. Scrotes get super mad that she (spoiler alert!) was the one to slay you know who.
