If I may add a couple more red flags and potentially provide a laugh:

Gets uncomfortable or turns his phone away when you happen to glance at it
Has a female best friend who is very physically touchy with him
Said female best friend puts a pair of his UNDERWEAR on the table of the cafe where you are meeting her for the first time and says he forgot it when he “did laundry at her place”

I accepted all of the above when I was younger. Now that I educated myself and I’m also more self confident and a follower of FDS, I will NEVER tolerate this disrespect again. I’ve learned there are HVM out there who don’t do any of the above but there’s so many LVM that it seemed impossible to find a man who wouldn’t do at least one thing from this list. 🤢🤮 almost all men are such trash. This should be the standard! But the bar is so low that even most men can’t meet this... 🤢🤢🤢🤮

My ex did ALL of these things. To the point that he left me for his “friend” after months of basically already dating her. Long text conversations, taking her out to dinners and insisting I couldn’t come along, flirting on social media, etc. I saw the writing on the wall but wanted to believe him. I told him I was uncomfortable and asked him to take a step back from this “friendship” and he refused and called me crazy and jealous. Well, it came back to bite him. She dumped him two months into dating - probably because of the same bullshit.

My ex did three of these - Keeping in contact with some exes who he didn't tell me he was still speaking to. - not telling one of them he wasn't single. His excuse was that he wanted to see her in person before he told her. - discussed relationship details with female friends (friends who had feeling for him)

And after all this, he would say I was jealous and insecure. No fuckwad, you're just disrespectful

A guy I was in a situationship with this year had me convinced that being best friends with his ex from 5 years ago is normal. I expressed my discomfort with the situation and he straight up confessed that that ex held had sometimes held higher value and importance to him that the woman he was with for 4 years.

It made me so uncomfortable but he had me convinced it was okay.

Never ignore your gut, ladies. Kick him to the curb the second you realise you’re ignoring your own feelings to accomodate his.

My ex did almost all of these. I was so brainwashed i thought it was my own insecurities I needed to get over. Nope :) I deserve respect. If we would see an attractive woman he would nudge me and be like when are you gonna look like that. Mind you, I was 6' and 180lbs but the little pooch of fat on my stomach and jiggly thighs were just too much for him. I needed to be a stick or toned or in some other way "perfect". Meanwhile this NVM had some goofy ass buck teeth and no muscles to speak of. It was so stupid, he would freak the fuck out at me if I made any mention of another man in any context or if he thought I was checking someone out. He would turn me down when I would try to initiate sex, then I'd wake up to him jerking off watching porn. He literally spent hours a day/night almost every single day looking at a porn. It hurt my feelings so much and he didn't care in the slightest. I finally ended our relationship when I found creepy ass candid photos of women he had downloaded from a porn site. Like creep shots of their bodies and shit while they're just out trying to exist in the world. I dont have to put up with a man's pathetic bullshit and it took me so so so unfortunately long to realize that.

I didn't realize the sexualizing conversations thing was disrespectful. It always made me feel so gross and used, but I didn't say anything because I felt like I was being dramatic. It's validating to know that what he did was wrong. I was so naive, never again 😔

I used to be OK with "lusting over celebrities" because duh, I do it too, but... now I realize that men "lust over celebrities" in VERY different ways.

I can get instantly turned off by a good looking celebrity the moment I find out he's LV (and this applied even before FDS), not to mention, it makes me uncomfortable to "fantasize" about a stranger, especially when I know he's married, has kids, etc. and even if they weren't married, I'd still not masturbate to the thought of them. Again, they're strangers. I don't feel good using a stranger as wank material, they're human beings and not just sex dolls for me to use. I'm fine with admiring their handsomeness.

Men on the other hand, have no issues wanking over celebrities, inserting themselves in the fantasy, using them in depraved ways. I still remember how disgusting men were over Jennifer Lawrence's nudes, while I found out (from an FDS comment, no less) that Chris Evans also had some nudes leaked but it's not like a lot of people know, because everyone was really busy trying to distract people from them.
