Age gaps are a huge risk factor. Take a look at any relationship advice sub, all the worst stories involving all sorts of abuse and manipulation always involve one.
Oh, and not to mention that statistically, in a marriage with an older man, the woman lives less than otherwise.
I do believe it's in handbook, too.

I understand and can appreciate you’re points. I’ll keep that in mind. I thought older men would be more mature, but clearly not according to this screenshot. I never used to have my age range set significantly higher, but after turning 25 this year , I realized I wanted to experience being a young woman with an older man. But as of late, I think I’ve changed my mind. I don’t think it’s a good idea.

Older men can occasionally be, but older men who are open to talking to 25 year olds on dating apps are not the mature ones.
I say this as someone whose partner is about that age gap - it’s a red flag, and I strongly believe it only works in rare circumstances and if you meet and form a connection in person in a non-dating environment first where you can truly see how they are.

Signed. Dated a 40 year old guy who used snapchat a lot, can confirm he used it for cheating. It was how I found out, on snapchat you get points after how many snaps you send and his number was INSANELY high and I knew for a fact he wasnt snapping me that much.

No, I mean in a dating context! Like teenagers use it to flirt and stuff but as adults, flirting and communicating with potential matches shouldn’t be on Snapchat. If it’s just for fun with friends, absolutely snap is fine.
But also, that is just my opinion. You make you’re own rules, so please don’t be worried about being “too old” for things. Aging is a beautiful thing we are blessed to be able to experience.

I find this mentality is more common in the US/Western world. Where I'm from Snapchat is really popular and most adults and celebrities use it. So it really depends. That said, yes lots of people use it to cheat because there's no evidence.

when the first or second message is an invitation to follow him on snapchat, instagram, whatever, I immediately unmatch. In my experience, this is a telltale sign of an LVM. A decent dude will have a conversation with you first, maybe ask for social media later before the 1st date.
