This is where I am, and based off of the feedback I’ve been getting from threads and my DMs, celibacy is pretty much the only option for a high quality woman with healthy self-esteem and boundaries. I enjoy sex and I do miss it, but I haven’t been able to have it in quite some time, because I haven’t met a man who wasn’t a low effort predator to some degree.

I’ve been celibate for a while now and I realized that it is my super power. I feel way more powerful celibate than I ever did when I bought into the hook up culture “sExUallY LibErAtEd” bs . The longer I’m celibate the less and less I want to give it up. The less I am willing to give my body to anyone. 98%of people are undeserving . The amount of power I hold over men now because I’m celibate is truly astonishing. I thought I was powerful by sleeping with whomever whenever bc I wanted to prove I could have sex without feelings and I enjoy sex just as much as men but there was no power in that.

I recently (from 5 years ago till last November, and ongoing, in that order) have gone through some significant changes: a divorce, weight loss of 100 pounds, and a breast reconstruction for a necrotizing mastitis infection. (The mastectomy was 10 years ago.)

The physical, mental, and emotional work that has gone into creating the life I want since my divorce (which my health, and through extension, my body is a part of) has deeply impressed within me a belief: I have worked too damn hard to let just anyone close to me, and my body is too damn precious to allow just anyone to touch me.

It's been a long road to get to this level of self-love. This subreddit helped immensely, among all my other supports. I'm very happy now. No one has touched me in a while. No one has come into my life who is good enough to. I'm just fine with that.

I just came to this conclusion on a whim the other night. My pussy is fucking gold. It is a privilege to be allowed to have sex with me. For way too long, I threw myself at men thinking that sex was the only way for them to stay and while at least I learned a lot from those experiences, it is not a positive ideology I wish to carry anymore.

A dude’s dick can literally mess up your pH, give you an STD or get you pregnant.
