Seriously, I’m not sure if it’s just me or if anyone else has experienced this, I’m 28 and literally every single guy I’ve dated can NOT handle anything life changing. Especially death of a loved one or friend.

I totally understand grieving and what not but this is crazy. The guys I’ve dated were essentially good in the beginning or through out our relationship but as soon as someone gets sick or a relative passes, they completely shut down.

They either start drinking excessively, partying, being distant, playing video games all day or cheating! There is no way this is normal grieving! My last relationship ended because his grandmother was very sick and sadly she ended up passing away, he didn’t see her all that often but he was constantly in very bad moods towards me and not anyone else, he was being distant and was liking other girls photos, not sure if he actually cheated though. I finally had enough of it, it wasn’t my fault or anyone else’s that she got sick. I’ve had relatives pass and I’ve also grieved heavily for past relationships but nothing like that! But I’m guessing maybe this exposes them in a way? I seriously DO NOT want to date anymore.

I don’t want to sound insensitive and I truly understand people grieve in their own way but this can’t be normal. Anyone else experience this?
