To add something about drink dates: never go on those because you’ll drink without eating and will probably get drunk fairly quickly. Don’t let a man take advantage of that.

NO COFFEE OR “GO FOR A WALK” DATES. I consider those “interviews” that will end with a lowball (literally) offer.💀

I don’t initially do breakfast (Too early.💀) or lunch dates, (Too casual.) either.

I do brunch or dinner and/or drinks, in the beginning. (As per a wise dating coach suggests.)

Coffee, and breakfasts/lunches can happen when in a relationship, and that initial effort has already been heavily put forth.🥂

This is PERFECT initial vetting. If some male doesn’t want to buy you brunch, or dinner and/or drinks, he’s already stingy and/or broke.🥴 How do you expect that to get any better over time, ladies..??🤦🏼‍♀️

And miss me with that “She’s GOT to prove she’s worth investing a few dollars into, FIRST!!” whine/tired complaint.🙄 Already sorting women as “worth it/not worth it”.🙄 ALSO, most likely serial first dating as well, instead of choosing one or a few ladies to seriously pursue. Yeah, NO. See yourself to the exit.✌🏻

ANYWAY, at the end of it all, I still am actually desired and desirable. I’m still pursued relentlessly. I still have had more sex than you probably ever will in your life. I still get asked out for dates/drinks/trips regularly. I still turn down flyouts regularly, simply for not wanting to be bothered to alter my schedule to accommodate them.🤣

You can’t possibly dream of what I regularly decline, simply for not wanting to deal with a man and the most minor of inconveniences.

Honestly, I know within the first 5 minutes or so if I’m interested in getting to know a guy better. I don’t want to waste my time sitting through a dinner with someone I don’t even want to talk to. I don’t mind getting drinks (like happy hour) and then going to dinner together after if we vibe. And if we don’t, I can easily leave.

For those like me who struggle with food-related dates, maybe because you have bothersome dietary requirements, dinners are incompatible your schedule, you can’t (or simply hate) dressing fancy, you struggle to eat in public with strangers or you’re sick of doing so many dinner dates lol… then just vet for THOUGHTFUL dates.

For example, if you’ve mentioned that you love art, does he take you out to a museum? He should plan the whole date, organise transport and pay tickets to a special exhibition!

Buying you your usual $4 cup of coffee is NOT a quality date. That just lacks the thoughtfulness and proper effort of a date.

Question: I can’t drink anymore and there’s nowhere these scrotes can take me to eat that I would enjoy more than eating my own (better cooked) food at home. What are some other acceptable date ideas/places? Just to add that I am down for anything and love to try new stuff all the time.

I don't understand this black and white thinking. If I don't really know a guy, maybe i won't want to spend two hours eating with him.

Meeting for something simple like coffee is an easy way to chat in person and decide if you vibe enough to THEN go on a real date.
