To make a long story short, I broke up with my manipulative, controlling, porn-sick boyfriend a couple weeks ago. He took it hard; tried to convince me to take him back, made Spotify playlists of our favorite songs directed at me (previously we had a collaborative playlist), and started posting photos of himself on Instagram even though he told me before that he "hated" social media and that it was "fake". (I unfollowed him). He acted like he didn't see the break up coming and that I had given up on us, but I guess he just hadn't been listening when I had told him I had trouble feeling in love and trusting him after what he had done to me (see post history).

When he tried to get me back, he of course ran through a list of excuses for his behavior, told me he wanted to marry me a month after dating me, told me he loved me, and that he had "been working on himself" and had taken "real action" to change his life.

I didn't buy it.

Now, he's looking for his next girl, with his Tinder complete with pictures I had taken of him during our relationship...

I guess this is kind of a rant, but to be honest I'm feeling conflicted. On one hand, I see that he isn't taking the time to evaluate his toxic behavior that lead to me leaving him---this is confirmation that he is just a shitty person and leaving was the right choice. On the other, it hurts to realize that although I was right, that also means that I was just something he needs to replace ASAP.

I guess if you're using online dating, be sure to vet for guys who are looking for a rebound.
