A year ago I saw something like this happening in a grillhouse type place. Guy and girl (early 20s) were on a date and split a medium pizza (who orders a pizza in a grillhouse??) and before the bill came, the girl handed her card and pin to her date/boyfriend. Story time! First Boyfriend in college was a broke dead beat. I mostly paid when we went out, he didn't have a car, I did, etc etc. At some point he started ragging on my crappy car, which came to seriously piss me off. His ass was riding around in it for free after all.

Now Prince charming Mom has an nice Honda Civic she was saving to give to him once he graduated. He dreamed about that car constantly. So next time we were at his house, I offered to buy it from her, cash on the spot. Fuck his manliness. I wanted to flex the fact that I had money and car insurance and he did not on him in front of his mom. The look of sheer panic on his face XD... he even kinda whimpered "please don't" to his mom. Well she wouldn't sell, and it was not the nicest thing I'd ever done, but we broke up about 5 months later and 9 years down the rode he's still a broke dead beat so eff it.
