People have frequently commented on how men are more likely to leave a sick partner.

So sickness or unexpected problems are excellent opportunities to assess partners.

When you are sick or facing another type of surprise problem, does your partner:

• comfort you or reject you?

• ask you how he can help or ignore you?

• follow through with helpful actions or was it all talk?

• act with patience and supportive behaviors or does he act moody/resentful/pouty?

• handle the help on his own or does he need prompting?

• offer the support willingly or does he hold it against you later (transactional)?

Keep in mind, men who are trying to have sex with you are going to be on their best behavior, so it's not nearly as good an indicator as after you are already sexually active. Men can fake an entire relationship to access sex.

Be careful and vet smart, ladies!!
