My ex is a “victim” in his own eyes. The idea that men are responsible for themselves and their actions is profoundly disturbing to them.

Like last week, he told me he left a promising career to be with me. And now he hasn’t worked in 13 years and it’s all on me, when I’ve literally asked him to go get a job for years.

However if it was a traditional marriage the house should be clean instead of a hoard pile and I come home and the dishes smell because they haven’t been done in a week. I even mow the grass and shovel the snow. Dude is ridiculous.

Of course these men don’t like FDS. Good lord.

Frankly according to him I’m lucky I don’t have to wipe his ass when he goes to the bathroom ffs

It's like those men that say they don't want their women hanging out with those "headstrong independent girlfriends" because we will put fool ideas in their heads.

Cus we open their eyes. And now they will upset the balance of their carefully machinated abusive relationship. Or now the men will have to actually try harder.

My first account on r/dating got zergrushed by moids.....because I told a girl that she doesn't need to wait around for a guy who's been ignoring her for weeks. Someone told her that she needs to "chill" and just wait for him. I said no, she has a right to prioritize her needs.....several of them then proceeded to go on tirades/personal attacks and concocted strange narratives that "I would be such an angry wife" and would scream/divorce rape my husband (???? I literally just said she should prioritize school first).

I agree... and that's why I think they bombard certain subs that are supposed to be geared towards women and/or relationship issues and argue women to death.

They can see how powerful and right on this sub's philosophy is and it terrifies them. I haven't even been here very long and I can already see the changes this sub is making in how I relate to men, not because its changing my mind about anything but because it's affirming what I've always known but never really been able to admit, even to myself. We're tearing holes in the delicate veil of male decency and equality and exposing the spoiled little boys hiding there- the fact that men hate that is proof we're doing it right.

I think it could be about control, they feel like they have no influence over this sub and or women only spaces; and that feeling of being powerless over women infuriates them. I imagine them frothing at the mouth, hyperventilating and yelling obscenities at the computer screen bc they cannot post at hateful message directly, and so they go vent on another sub like TRP. Which actually happened in a response to one of my posts recently. I didn’t actually go and read the response because I don’t give a goddamn what they say.

In the church, it was a huge sin to talk about your husband in ANY negative way. Even if you wanted to, the other women would ostracize you and cut you out of the herd, and there was nowhere else to o for friends since everyone who isn’t radical Christian is going to hell.

So you were sworn to silence in his cheating, his porn, his abuse, his cruelty, his rapes, his gambling, etc.

And then huddle with the other battered women and talk about how he’s a good provider and father.

Because it's everything they fear. This sub proves their castle of expectations will be blown down unless they can step up. The music and romcoms were wrong and doing the bare minimum is not gonna be enough to woo the girl of their dreams. They look at their beer-belly dads how they did bare minimum and maybe they're mad they have to rethink their parents relationship. Maybe they hate to think their loving mother was a servant and their dad as a lazy fuck ("No it wasnt like that!") They were taught their whole lives that they were special, good enough, and assumed they would score a similiar dynamic, a great paying job and a serving wife. Maybe they WANT to be like their balding beer belly dad and women are saying they want more, not the bare minimum. And they're ANGRY the women are withholding what they are owed. After wanting hot, adoring women their whole lives, they're mad women want hot, adoring men and sad face, but their face pubes, cheeto stained clothes, and inability to plan nice dates aren't going to woo the Zoey Deschanel look alike in their office. They blame her and us for her wanting more. Obviously they would have a chance if she just remembered her place as an ornament on his crusty arm. They'll shout insults at her and to us ("Shes ugly! She's a gold digger!") They come here and shout in our inboxes because they're afraid.

There was a really good article, in The Atlantic I think about mumsnet, about why men hated witches so much and it was this same thing. Religion was a cover for them hating that women were getting together, giving each other advice (often about herbal abortions/their bodies) and it was giving them power.

It is so important for women to have forums for themselves to discuss this stuff or we are isolated and lose information and power
