What, no pointy stilettos? No “bitchy boss” vibes? No tight pencil skirt and little cronies running after her taking down her excessive coffee orders? No screeching and being incompetent and so “career focused” that she’s somehow infertile and it’s her one insecurity? Wow movies have failed me.

This is what I wanted, but I’ve learned that men don’t think it’s possible for an ambitious, intelligent woman to also be a good mother. If you’re not looking to be a stay at home mom, or at the least work full-time while also being the primary caregiver and splitting all the bills with them, they’re disinterested in having children with you.

So I actually don't like this. Why can't being female be 'enough'. Why does a woman have to be pregnant AND a home maker AND successful for people to sit up and think, shit yeah she's owning it. A man closing multi million deals is impressive REGARDLESS of his personal situation. It should be the same for women.

While this is a nice sentiment, there’s a lot going on which isn’t captured in this photo. If she’s really a venture capitalist than her life is literally a one off. That field is exceeding misogynistic, composed of only 8% women, and it’s a very hostile environment for women. It’s not uncommon to take work calls on your delivery bed. They are pressured not to have families because their job is supposed to be their first priority. I’m not entirely sure what OP is trying to convey with this post, but this woman probably will spend a lot of her time away from her child. She will probably miss a lot of her child’s life because let’s face it, being a mom is a full time job. While women can do anything, I think we should move away from narratives like that because they often get translated to women should do everything. I don’t think we should glorify a lifestyle that is unsustainable and potentially unhealthy to the mother and child. This is a heartwarming picture to look at, but it’s not a life 90% of us can relate to.

Not sure why people seem to think this post is saying you have to be wealthy / a mother / whatever to be successful. It's about showing women that motherhood and being an entrepreneurial boss bitch is possible. Queens come in many forms.
