Degree is in something completely useless for which no market exists or has ever existed such as Grievance Studies.

Went to a private, liberal arts college and since she spent more time sucking dicks than studying took more than 4 years to graduate. $250k in debt for her BA.

Even less employable than before college she went whole hog and got a useless advanced degree in something stupid. Another $250k in debt for MA/PhD.

Waits tables for $2.13/hr plus tips. And since she reeks of “victimhood” and has a shit attitude tips are scarce.

Whether its the bank of mom & dad or loans, parents still need to get involved. College bound kids ought to have a solid business plan. Thats what it is, college tuition. Its a small business loan; an investment in yourself. If you can’t pitch a major with a legitimate career, with good job growth in the field, why do it?!

People make shit choices, but parents need to sort their fucking kids out. If they hate you for it, so what. Atleast they won’t be moving back home with a pile of debt and no job prospects.

Design, art and entertainment markets are super saturated and pay like shite, yeah... but they're a lot of fun. I haven't "worked" a day since I escaped the world of trades. My son is due to graduate HS next year. He's very strong in STEM, but hates reading/writing papers. College would be hell on that kid.

We're thinking of going the route of paid internship as an Electrician. Decent wage while learning a trade. Good wages when he completes his training, with the potential to start his own business down the road.
