I'm not sure what year was the tipping point for this, but TV commercials became - at one point - a white male bashing ground. The white male was the stupid one and everyone NOT a white male somehow had found the secret to life and happiness.

This was probably during the Clinton administration's second term, and I recall being so turned off, that I stopped watching primetime legacy broadcast TV. I mean, the sitcoms, the crime dramas, etc. I do watch reality shows, but since they are unscripted (Survivor, Amazing Race, Big Brother), you will see pushback on those narratives, while the written-for-TV dramas and sitcoms will have ZERO pushback.

Not speaking with or acknowledging men is fine. I have no problem with that. But the other petty offenses are tells, that the person engaging in that behavior is a waste of time, and to steer clear.

Feminism IS misandry. Notice the name of it. It focuses purely on females wants and needs, not making the genders equal. It pushes women up on their pedestals, telling them the lie that they are better than men. That they deserve better than men.

They don't say anything because they don't want a spanking at HR, but consequences happen for her anyway. It's the stupidest possible flex in the workplace to announce to your coworkers you hate half of them.

I saw some comments on a reddit romantasy post. Some of the people said that they would go out of their way to avoid male authors. Because of their "unrealistic" representation of women. There was a whole debate there. Some were saying that even if they liked what the book is about if its written by a man they'd put the book down in discuss. Someone brought up a fair point saying almost none of the men are "realistic" anyway which as you may expect wasn't received very well.

It’s not that deep. I’m a white guy so I mainly think of white men in hypothetical situations or when thinking about something. Women doing the same thing isn’t a problem.
