Now to be clear I am not saying it applies to all women as it doesn't.

Choosing to be MGTOW does apply to all women for us that make the choice...

Ever ask yourself why women/feminists define MGTOW as hating women?

Most/all those that claim that MGTOW as hatred of women are invariably against men (any man) being able to go their own way...

But what do they mean?

That we dont ever talk to women?

That's a bit hard to do if you're not a hermit living in a remote cave somewhere.. How will I buy my groceries if I dont talk to the checkout girl at the supermarket?

That we dont ever have friends who are women?

Really? I've never had problems being friends with women at all...

That we dont ever socialise with women?

Why shouldn't we? Why wouldn't we. That doesn't stop or preclude men from being MGTOW.

That because we're going our own way, we hate women?

Here's something that may shock you. You dont actually have to hate women to be a MGTOW...

I've found that all those that hate on MGTOW are simply projecting their own hate for men onto men. That's all.

No woman is as beautiful as the freedom of MGTOW.

Men are logical. MGTOW is the logical reaction to being neglected by society because 'you've had the power too long and now it's time for the weak to overthrow the strong.'

Funnily enough, feminism activists were strongly in favor of porn because it allowed a woman to 'own her body.' But porn is probably one of the major contributors to MGTOW. If you can nut any time you want without the need for a woman, why go through the hassle of bringing in all the drama involved with someone who is entitled and grown up being told she's a 'princess.' It's just not worth it to most men.

Yes, MGTOW does stand up against the stream of misandry society projects on men, but it is not just about that. I see it as self improvement.

MGTOW encouraged me to flush some pain killers I had left over from an operation down the toilet. Guys explained that no good can come from taking them or selling them.
MGTOW also encouraged me to cultivate myself for the future. I started studying online, and have advanced in may career.
MGTOW also showed me that the dialogue of "I need to fuck. I need to have a lot of women. I need sex..." is a poisonous narrative fed to us to keep us down. You can have that, but most guys don't have peace when they have that. Self improvement is the true alpha male move.
MGTOW also showed me to embrace issues I have in my life. I've actually gotten 2 surgeries because of the outlook and I am grateful for the encouragement.

These are all things which don't fit into the "men bashing women" narrative which are healthy mentally and physically.

The issue with MGTOW isn't their philosophy. It is with the men that it attracted to the movement who are misogynistic, ignorant, and loud. Their toxic presence in the community poisoned the movement for everyone. It then attracted it's opposite (FDS and the like) who are just as loud and toxic. Because of the current sentiments of the MeToo movement and female harassment in general (which are big problems), the majority mob has ruled MGTOW in its entirety to be toxic with no redeeming values because humans love generalities that they don't have to look too closely at for judgment.

Another MGTOW movement under a different name whose members are carefully screened to keep the problem children out, is the only chance the movement will have to survive legitimately and possibly make change for the betterment of both men and women.

Just my take.

In theory, no one should have a problem with a guy not tying himself down to a relationship and enjoying the freedom to live life calling all his own shots. Why, it's almost as though women don't get to tell those guys how to live their lives and what to do with their time, and they strongly dislike that for some reason . . .

Its a good philosophy to live by, but only to a certain extent. Some of the principles such as focus on yourself, don't make a woman the focus of your life, etc. are good point to live by if you are trying to improve yourself. However, there are certain toxic components of the movement such as hating all women, or not trusting women, etc. that are not universally true.

Ex: One girl in college that used my razors in the fraternity house bathroom to shave her lady parts before going over to a guys dorm and hooking up with him and then stealing the money out of his wallet.

It is an excellent idea to avoid women like this, but not all women are like this. If you go around thinking all women are like this not only will it limit the growth of relationships with female family members, but it could also lead to you passing over a high quality woman that is interested in you and that could add value to your life.

I am by no means a feminist, but most men cannot realistically move into a cabin in the middle of the woods, isolate themselves from society (even though it is alluring), and not interact with women. Women should be a complement to your life , and not a focus of animosity purely based on gender.

Women are so much more than a hole, they can be compassionate, loving, and provide actual utility in one's life and don't have to written off as hurtful monsters.

To conclude my essay I only say all this because I was in a woman hating phase of my life and did not want to seriously welcome one into my life because I thought they all had the potential to do more harm than good. At the end of the day, they all do have that potential, but it up to the individual to have the maturity to have that trust based on personal judgement.

I was heavy into the MGTOW philosophy for a bit. But like all hard lined philosophies., there are some really toxic elements to MGTOW. One of the things I could not agree with is basically treating women like they are out to get you. It's not some women, its all women all the time. MGTOW gets that wrong. I also did not agree with the elements of hard misogyny and out right 'incel' behavior. Some men dont get the MGTOW philosophy and are just sexually frustrated, socially awkward men trying to dehumanize women. I dont agree with any of that. Do care about mens right... which is why I am here now.... not there. Having said that the Ven diagram of mens rights and Mgtow does meet at certain points. Not all MGTOW philosophies are bad..

I used to consume mgtow content a lot a few years ago. I don’t anymore but i basically live like one. Following stuff like that actively is toxic to your mind because of the negativity in the content and actually prevents you from going your own way, since the time you use to consume mgtow content is time you are not spending on your actual life. It also helps to view women as individuals, not a whole, for your own mind and having positive experiences with women. But I am still wary and keep my distance emotionally like I would keep my distance to a wild animal, since your life can become very complicated fast if you anger some of them because they can be unpredictable and have the law and sympathy on their side.

That's how I rationalise it.
Even if only 10% women are bad, those 10% women fake good women's behavior until she gets the ring.

After that, the gynocentric laws and courts gets involved.
They will punshish the good man and reward the bad women.

That's not what the justice system was designed to do.

And if there is no possibility of fair justice, people will not participate in an unfair system.

That's exactly what MGTOW is all about.

I think they really don't understand the level of diversity among women. That they're way too caught up in stereotype.

You know, I've dated women who wanted nothing more than a traditional arrangement. Where she'd clean and cook and raise the kids and I'd work.

And I've dated women who wanted the exact opposite. Who would prefer that I'd clean and cook and raise the kids and she'd make all the money.

And I've dated women who would rather fucking die than have children and wanted us to just both work, make every cent we possibly could, and go overseas twice a year to spend the money on elaborate vacations, and that would be our lives.

And I've also been divorced. You know what it cost me? Two hundred bucks and a nightstand.

MGTOWs take a point of view like: the modern world is one thing, it can never be anything else, this is what women are, it sucks, and I am withdrawing from it. Fuck all y'all.

From my perspective... you know, a relationship and a family and a lifestyle can be anything you want them to. No two are alike. And if there's a lifestyle you want to live, you can usually find someone excited about living it with you.

MGTOW is a logical reaction to the world around us. If men are treated as disposable assets by an uncaring society, how are we to criticise men who remove themselves from that equation? The core rules of MGTOW, no marriage, no co-habitation and protect yourself from false claims...are just common sense in today's world. We all know the risks for marriage, no one should be unaware of those!! Co-habitation is a risk given the nature of our police and legal system to "believe all women", throwing men under the bus without evidence or cause. Many men have been thrown out of their houses or lost access to their children through false claims which the legal system almost encourages at this point. Lastly the #metoo has lead to an explosion of false claims. In a world where her word, without any evidence, is enough to get you fired from your job...men need to understand that you have to protect yourself and never to be in a position where you could be falsely accused. If this means never having 1:1 meeting alone with a female, so be it. If you have zero defence against claims and are always the bad guy, never to be even listened to before sanctions...then it's only logical that you take those measures available to you to remove yourself from potential harm.

I dropped looking into it because I felt like there was a lot of hate in that community. The idea is fine, and probably preferable for men at this point, but I also don't want my life to be full of that.

That being said, I'm never getting married again. My state doesn't have common law marriage so I might live with my girlfriend at some point, but not for a long time.

I find it fulfilling to spend time with a woman that I care for. I was fine by myself as well, but I honestly don't think it compares.

It's about just prioritizing yourself. We don't shame and blame women, we just move on to a healthier environment. Self-care, family, friends, work, etc. Women's position in houses and intersexual dynamics have changed, and men have to adept. The most healthy way is to not engage in the foolishness and circus. MGTOW is not really about the women necessarily. It is about the government and work place policies that give women the power to fuck men over at any moment for any reason. There are plenty of MGTOW that would love to find a good woman, and have a family or simply be in a long term loving relationship, but they don't because they either have been fucked by the system, or know they can be fucked by the system.

Plenty of men love having female friends too, but if you say something that Karen from the office finds offensive you could be fired and blacklisted or have to take some sort of sensitivity training and have a mark on your record at the company.

MGTOW is about self preservation, nobody thinks every single woman is inevitably going to divorce their husband and take him for all he has, but they realize that it is a possibility so the juice is not worth the squeeze. It is about risk mitigation. Pros and Cons.

I, respectfully, disagree with the mgtow philosophy. I think it behaves in the same manner as the feminists that say that all men are oppressors or rapists. You believe all women capable of ruining you if you give them the chance, I know many women will, but many won't, also think about what you're denying yourself if you just decide to not have a serious relationship anymore, sex? A family of your own? Someone you can trust unconditionally?

Some people may call me out telling me I have survivor's bias but that doesn't mean everything I just said is not true. I've been married for 7 years now and I have 2 beautiful kids and even though it's true that it may go downhill someday I still would make the same choice, these have been the 7 happiest years of my life with plenty more to come. Don't close yourself out of fear, justified fear, yes, but still fear.

My own experience tells me that it’s down to an individual, I was raised by a single mother, I’m a single mother (my daughter’s father was simply a horrible person, he’s always been in her life but I have minimal contact with him, I don’t expect child support but he’s sends £50 a month to help with travel costs for school and gets her stuff as and when she needs it if she’s with him at the time). My mother was raised with 3 stepfathers, was horribly neglected and emotionally abused by her mother, who herself was raised by married parents with three siblings. The idea that those raised by single parents are more likely to be mistreated could perhaps be based on statistical facts, I don’t know, all I know is that my great grandparents were good parents, my grandma was a shocking mother, my mum was (and is) one of the best and I like to think I’m a good mother too.

When my daughter was tiny we lived with her father and he worked and I stayed at home, we did that because I enjoyed being a mum and enjoyed my role in the family, her father was more than happy to be the provider. However I eventually felt that it was more damaging for my daughter to see the way I was treated than it would be for her to be raised with separated parents, and it has been, her father had very little to do with her when we lived together but they built a good relationship after we broke up. I know this is only one persons experience but I wanted to add it, the more views you have the better you can build a picture.

MGTOW, is a philosophy, an ideology, a way to live ones life. Sure there are assholes and extremist in every group. MGTOW, passes knowledge on to the younger guys as well as guys going through breakups, divorces. All MGTOW does is tell the truth of how the male/female dymanic is. It is up to that person to decide what to do with said knowledge. If one decides relationships aren't that important than so be it. I'm not a MGTOW, but...

MGTOW is basically about not having long term relationships with women, usually because the risks outweigh the benefits.

Like vegetarians, there are various degrees. Some MGTOWs avoid women as much as possible, some have hookups. There are various degrees on how they relate to women and the degree to which they associate with women.

Many MGTOWs have been badly damaged by a divorce or a false accusation, their reaction is understandable. Others are MGTOW out of the gate.

And it's not an irreversible stance, I've seen a few who stopped being MGTOW and now claim that MGTOWs and even MRAs are toxic. Apparently this lifestyle is not for everybody.

Well I’d suggest there’s a big anti-feminist element amongst MGTOW since feminism has a great deal to do with what would drive someone to MGTOW. I don’t think a man is necessarily anti-women for being MGTOW. Some are, having been burned in the past.

The high risk due to the current laws and social attitudes are enough to drive man men to MGTOW without actually hating women.

Something that bothers me as a human being is, why is it fine to be a Feminist but its somehow wrong or hateful to be a Meninist. I feel there is a perception in the world that all men are just cruising along, surfing on their privilege. While women are seen as these warrior's, fighting this nobel battle, against men, for equality. Meanwhile guys who are poor, depressed, lonley and miserable are still somehow privileged. The truth is nothing is black and white. In developed countries, women have many advantages that men don't, such as a biased divorce courts. If a woman hits a man, he must have done something to deserve it. If a man hits a woman all the surrounding men and women will beat the shit out of him. I'm starting to reach the idea that, men being somehow more advantaged than women, is a misconception.
