Over the past few months, the traffic on r/MR has been steadily increasing and so has the amount of spam/reports. I am busy trying to finish my thesis and cannot devote as much time to r/MR as is necessary to keep up with things - AnnArchist is in a similar situation. Additionally, having new and more points of view will help us generate policy for r/MR that best reflects the needs and desires of the bigger community.

To that end, we are looking into expanding the moderator list by two people over the next week or so.

AnnArchist and I have decided on one new mod, and once we bring him on board we will collectively decide on the second. I am pleased to announce that Qanan will be joining the mod team. We feel that Qanan reflects the best qualities of a moderator and we look forward to his input on moderation decisions.
