Yes, I think it would be ideal if it were done by default. That way the alleged father doesn't have to ask. Which is good because some men may feel uncomfortable with asking because he doesn't want to look like he doesn't trust his wife / gf (and it would be awkward if the child is in fact his after he asked suspiciously)

And because a lot of times men never suspect paternity fraud enough to ask. Another suggestion a person made is for the results to be sealed, like in an envelope, before being given to the alleged father, that way he can choose whether or not to open it at all; and if he does, he can do so on his own

How to make this happen is the real difficulty. Inducing legislative action is complicated, even with petitions. Even more so since there are many people against the idea of paternity testing

Make it about women. Place rules that until biological confirmation is granted they can't claim for child support or single parent benefits, within a week paternity tests would be mandatory

IMO in this day and age paternity tests should be mandatory. If the expectation is for fathers, which it should be, to pay child support, then it should be the real father who is paying for their kids.

I worked with a guy a while back who a women almost convinced him he was the father of her child, he wasn't sure, but some how she got his name on the birth certificate before they left the hospital. He had a hell of a time getting he named removed from the birth certificate even after it was deemed he was not the father. I knew him when he was married to he current wife with his kids, and he was still just finishing up cleaning up the mess.

I've read a few stories in the news over the years when kids are in school learning about genetics and figure out that the man they have been calling Dad for all of their lives is really not their father. I can't even imagine what hell those kids and men go through.

we are talking here about "procreation rights" and legal implication later on, including alimony and paternal rights

we must also make sure to use the fact that the child has the right to know who are his/her real parents, and that the relatives have this right too

we can also make another case for the better interest of the child to connect and be educated and raised by his/her natural parents

the relatives that usually have to pass on the inheritance can be affected by paternity fraud also

another case for the child interest is during an accident, if the father is willing to help him/her with some of his organs, the child's body may reject them and even collapse due to genetic incompatibilities

there is another aspect of future consanguinity, between children with unknown fathers, this may lead to horrible problems for them and their lives as often sibling are attracted of each other later in life (it is called Genetic sexual attraction)

we can make plenty of cases why this should be the norm and why this should be payed by the state, and we can even ignore men (as ofter the western societies do) and their rights

on short, free mandatory paternity tests are in the interest of ALL people in a society and will greatly improve the gender relations on the long run

Making it the default should be something we make a priority. The same way we have been played by SJWs and feminists etc. with the idea that if we are MRAs we somehow support domestic violence, by making this an issue we can isolate those who think that men should not have the right to know if they are really the father of a child. There is simply no case for not making this the default option except that of female supremicism.

I completely agree that paternity testing should be standard, free and mandatory. There are very strict procedures in place to ensure that the mother leaves the hospital with her biological child. Women understand how important it is to know that the baby you are raising is your own. Women fought to have the security in place in hospitals to make it certain that they have their biological child with them. Men deserve that same right. Unfortunately, women also fight to ensure men don't have the same protections. We need to fight for ourselves.

So I understand and agree with the 'what' of the problem, but do not know the 'how' of fixing it. What do we do next?

I feel that a paternity test should be voluntary if the man chooses to do so. But it should be mandatory if there is any custody dispute or request for child support. It should also not be able to be interfered with by the woman if the man had any reasonable relationship with that woman and a child or any reasonable expectation that the child is his .

One approach would be to push it for health reasons. Finding a reason serious enough to incentivize men and women to do it would be the most efficient path. OTO, trying at this point push it for legal reasons would too combative and likely to fail.

Why do you want to make all men feel the need to do this? Men are already aware that paternity testing is an option available to them. Do you mean you want to enforce mandatory testing?
