Upper-middle class 40-something here. A lot of the people I knew, male and female, graduated from college having slept with (mostly guessing here) 1 to 10 people, with a few outliers who were poly or into casual sex.

From talking to other guys at college—at least those guys who weren't virgins themselves—the attitude towards female virgins was often one of slight reluctance. Being somebody's first partner was seen as a fairly important responsibility, and more experienced guys didn't want to be responsible for heartbreak or to take advantage of somebody who was still new at relationships. Whereas if a woman had previously had a relationship, then both people theoretically knew what they were getting into.

Of course, if a guy was majorly in love with somebody, it didn't much matter either way.

All women enjoy sex and like to be lead. If you're sexually experienced you can teach your girl how to be your little slut. Virgin doesn't necessarily mean frigid prude.

I have never met someone IRL who professed a desire for a virgin girlfriend. If anything when I was a virgin my experience was more of a red (well, yellow; not red enough for them to disappear) flag for them because it came with an unwillingness to just jump into bed right away. Sure, maybe a guy's ideal is a virgin who gives amazing blowjobs only to him, has sex on the first date only with him, and is down with anal whenever, but in the real world they don't give that much of a damn.

I'm curious as to why OP thinks a virgin is more likely to be clingy though. Is that really a thing ?

More important than virgin or not is that she's not alpha widowed which virgins have zero chance of being.

I've had experiences with virgins. It was awful. A lot of cultures traditionally or historically expected girls to be virgins when they got married- including, but not limited to, western cultures.

I think the rational was a virgin girl wouldn't have diseases, children from other men, emotional attachments or baggage from past partners, and would bond more with the husband.

Frankly, these traditional people had a point. A woman is more likely to be attached to her 1st sexual partner than to cock #70-90 (cause she can't remember exactly how many men she's been with anymore).

But in modern western society its hard to find a virgin to marry outside of some closed communities. Girls have sexual freedom as underage teens but tend to get married when they're older. Then there's the age of consent, cultural conventions about creepy age gaps, and the fact that the vast majority of teen males have no means of supporting a family.

No I see your opinion here all the time. Its a lot more rare to see someone say they would prefer a virgin.

Your points against them don't mean much to me. If a virgin girl is bad at sex you train her, the same way the sluts trained you at it.

If you're alpha is no prob. Beta men prob need a more experienced girl though.

Some alpha guys will avoid virgins because they're scared of a girl being attached to them after sex. I've personally always felt empowered by the idea of having crazy bitches that want to have my kids. I'm not afraid of women like most men are.

It the whole asymmetry of experience. You having none while her having an order of magnitude higher puts said FA-er on a uneven playing field.

Also, I'm presuming that the FA-er will expect that she expects a certain "standard" (with regards to sexual performance, and general relationship intimacy/experience things) as you could put it, based off of her previous sexual experience. Something that he probably won't achieve because he's a virgin.

Obviously, being FA is an outlier so said preference is not the norm I would imagine.

These are really dumb assumptions. You have no way of knowing. A girl that has had multiple partners might be a very selfish partner(could be a complete starfish), and she could be clingy or jealous. Someone who is a virgin could turn out to be not clingy or jealous, and could certainly turn out to be a better partner.

Not only that but, realistically, you are judging someone for not having experience when being in a relationship with her would give her that exact experience. Not only will she catch up very quickly but you also wouldn't have to contend with any bullshit that she might have gone through with another man.
