I don’t think it’s realistic to be purely “beta” or “alpha” or even to try to attain alpha status.

Every man has a little of both type’s traits in him depending on personality, situations, lifestyle, relationships, etc.

There are quiet dudes who are willing to follow the “pack” without complaint but who will quickly jump up and lead in a crisis.

And there are assertive, charismatic men who are actually very gentle and let their wives be in charge of everything at home.

My husband is a pretty even mixture of what RPers would consider alpha AND beta traits, interests and tendencies, and amazingly, I’ve been sexually attracted to him for many years!!

Most humans are a mixture of traits and tendencies and it’s laughable to think that men can be evenly divided into two groups: assertive, aggressive men who get as much sex as they want, and docile, meek men who are stepped on by women every day.
