Matched on Tinder, talked for a bit, and decided to meet up at a brewery. She had a wisdom tooth extraction the day before but insisted on coming out. Met up and had a good time, she had one pint and the conversation was going well. Decided to go to a diner nearby for food, again, good conversation. Went for a kiss at the end, got a hug, and it seems like she ghosted me, so there's that.

Matched on Tinder. After 2 weeks of good fun I got her snapchat and about 2 weeks after that we met up. Think it was on a Wednesday, a good date day. Took her to a bar with table shuffleboards where we played a match and had some beers. She was all smiles. I was pretending to be taking the match super serious, but obviously as a joke. She won... Which does sting a bit I guess. Shuffleboard tables are positioned very close together, with tight gaps when crossing to the other side. So it's easy to get kino escalation going. Touching her back to teasingly "comfort" her after a bad move. "Oh that's such a shame". Holding her hips briefly to move her around. And pushing her away when she was crowding my space. It's "super serious" after all. Later we went to a more chill pub for drinks and to chat (I always try bringing a date to more than just one location). She was great and despite being very different from each other, our connection was amazing. Never a dull or awkward moment. When the night was over she joined me to train station, as she lived close to it. But there was no time for more than a hug as the train was leaving when we arrived. That worked out on our second date though.

We're still together over a year later. And yes, I did beat her in shuffleboard last week.

My husband and I were friends for about a decade. We was doing some work on my house and we started hanging out with each other more and more. I had him stay for dinner a few times, he fixed a few random things not at all in his scope of work, left a few gifts, etc.

We’ve Been inseparable ever since.

I haven't been single in a good long while, but... geez, I've had two relationships in the last two years but no dates beyond that. I met the last person I dated on Tinder, I asked him if he was interested in meeting at a restaurant near a bus stop that's convenient for me, he said yes, was half an hour late (weirdly the earliest reservation I could get was 9pm, so I was.... not thrilled, but didn't say anything about it) but was really pleasant to talk to. Split the check. We went to a nearby bar afterwards that he said was his favorite, I bought my own drinks and one for him, since he'd joked about wishing he was more adventurous in ordering, and then I caught a bus home.

Not so much as a hand-hold, I was pretty sure he wasn't interested but thought it would be nice to have a friend in the city who was involved in the music scene, so I didn't drop off the map. He follow-up asked me out two weeks later and I was like 'hm, probably a platonic thing, but I'd like to see him again' and met him at a different (cheaper) bar. Again, really fun, seemed excited to hear what I'd been doing for the last two weeks and had cool stories to tell, no sign that he was interested in anything but drinking, talking, and watching the football match that was on. I was like 'hey, so what's the vibe here?' and he was like 'I don't know, I don't usually like girls I meet on Tinder and it's throwing me off'. I told him I liked him, we kissed, it was nice, he paid this time and I went home. A few dates later he asked if I wanted to be exclusive. We dated for seven months.

It was pretty informal, I guess, beyond the parts that I made formal on purpose. I try to plan dates with clear beginnings and ends, whether or not I'm in a relationship

We both had whacky schedules one week, but live blocks away from each other. One day she was available before noon. So we got brunch, chatted for like 2 hours. I offered to get her coffee. She counter-offered to get my meal. We walked to her destination and she lent me a book.

Awful! Found an old High school acquaintance (who I had always thought was hot) on tinder. Thought that with him working in a Harley shop and doing motorcycle racing he would be less “intimidated” by me and my “extreme sports” job.

Most recent first date was a while ago. We ate Thai food, took a long evening walk around our school's campus, and ended up talking until 3 AM. I was kinda a mess at the time, and didn't quite realize it was a date, but like, 3 days later she was like "mine". My most recent date in general was today, with biscuits, a museum tour thing, bubble tea, and Studio Ghibli movies. You could say I'm glad my own social ineptitude didn't get in the way of forming a good relationship with someone.

Second date involved a bar, then dinner, then shooting pool at his building amidst a ton of sexual tension, then a goodnight kiss at my car. Third date involved a gourmet pizza restaurant, then "watching a movie" at my house.

Dates from the internet are always going to be informal at the start, but it quickly ramps into a real date if you both like each other.

Hmmmm. Not a conventional date per say, but I was on vacation in Europe. A girl I had previously met was in the same city and we messaged each other to meet up. We both like beer, so we went to some 500 year old brewery and drank out of these giant 1 liter Maß glasses. Easily some of the best beer I've ever had. We talked about a lot of things before wandering around the city at night. Explored some palaces, made out in a few, went to some other bars, basically just kept things moving. I personally like walking and talking, leads to a lot more engaging conversations with less awkward pauses. We both went home around 2am cause the subway was about to shut down. I'm home now, but we still message each other occasionally.
