Hatred and misogyny

idunno man, i've seen TRP saying some pretty shitty things about women that were heavily upvoted. i dont think you can just chalk it up to general "rational observation."

misogyny is also a hugely internalized phenomenon. misogyny is learned from society. its expressed in instances like: people thinking a woman's worth is in her virginity/how few people she's slept with, men thinking women owe them sex/anger when women reject them, thinking a man's interests and wants are more important than a woman's, thinking women are only here to have sex with and no other value, etc.

those are my off-the-top-of-my-head instances of ways that a lot of guys, especially on TRP, express internalized misogyny. Its actually a good reflection of how a good chunk of society, maybe more traditional/conservative populations, views women, unfortunately.

I don't think they hate them (if only for their genitals). I do, however, think they chronically undervalue and make ridiculous and insulting generalisations about women all the time.

Another definition of misogyny is "an ingrained prejudice against women", which I absolutely think is true of TRP.

Black people are intellectually inferior to white people. They are incapable of being good leaders and should never be put in positions of power. They'd much rather spend their days monkeying around and stealing televisions, which All Black People Do. It's not their fault really, their simple minds are just not capable of the kind of maturity of us white folk. It's not like I hate them, I just accept them for who they are; they intellectually have the minds of children.

Did that sound racist to you? Because that's essentially what TRP says about women.

It's not that TRP 'observes' women as inferior in some ways. Rather, its that they define men/masculinity as the embodiment of almost every respectable quality (outgoing, economically independent, rational, honest, integrity, etc) and define women as the exact opposite, embodying the negative qualities (irrational, manipulative, economically dependent, liars, etc). and claim that this this the natural, biological spread of traits. Then, this is used to justify treating them like shit; if women are just going to lie/cheat/date up anyway, you as a man don't have to feel bad when you lie/cheat/date up anyway.

This is why TRP is accused of being misogynist; if you hold the assumption that AWALT then guess what, you don't like women, and may even hate them.

The Oxford English Dictionary is generally considered the authoritative source on the English language. According to that, misogyny is "Dislike of, contempt for, or ingrained prejudice against women."

TRP has stated that women are generally morally, intellectually, and physically inferior to men in just about all regards, save for maybe child rearing abilities. That's pretty much the definition of "ingrained prejudice." You can sit here and tell me how much TRP is not about anger, but about acceptance of the inherent nature of women, yet the vast majority of TRP's content is nothing but outrage and indignancy about women. To say RPers largely hold women in contempt is an understatement. And many RPers will tell you that they really cannot stand women, that the only reason why they will ever have anything to do with a woman is sex. Again, to say many of them "dislike" women is an understatement.

And please, stop calling yourself rational. In one reply here you managed to call yourself rational three times in two short paragraphs.

Well, TRP uses a lot of made-up terms, not to mention believing in a lot of pseudoscience, so I don't see why you're in any position to call us out for not following the dictionary definition of 'misogynist'.

Second i now have a way to justify my hatred of blacks.

This term is often levied at people who say unkind things about BLACK PEOPLE. It strikes me that PEOPLE don't seem to understand that you can make rational observations about the world without feeling hate. I'll use an example. My buddy Steve is a good guy, but he absolutely sucks at basketball. He's put up so many bricks in his lifetime he could have built a house by now. I think he's inferior to me at playing basketball, in every aspect. I genuinely like Steve though. His value to me isn't in his (poor) ability to play basketball. I value his other qualities. I'm not anti-Steve because I think my wheelchair-bound grandmother can out-play him. Can you see how thinking that BLACK PEOPLE are inferior in some respects doesn't mean that I hate BLACK PEOPLE?

i dont hate you i just think you inferior in every way. Nice.

Also i use it to justify my feelings and thoughts and makes statements like ABPARLT (All Black People Are Like That)

its a shame that there is not a directly equivalent word, other then racist, that works here.

third it strikes me with shame that TRP dont understand that the rational observations that have been made or are being made are coming from a place the predisposes that women are inferior.

No. The very nature of your superiority complex is the reason we believe your speech to be demeaning, malicious, and hateful towards women. Even if you don't feel 'anger' towards women, your opinion that women are inferior is harmful to women and is misogynistic in nature because it devalues all women without cause.

If I say, all men are inferior to me, that is a misandrist comment. Even if I truly believe it and harbor no ill will towards men, I am still speaking from a misandrist point of view.

You don't have to say something hateful outright for your thoughts, beliefs, and ideas to be interpreted as misogynistic.

Also, this is the actual definition of misogyny, which is what you are (if you were still confused):

"misogynistic [mi-soj-uh-nis-tik, mahy‐] Examples adjective 1. reflecting or exhibiting hatred, dislike, mistrust, or mistreatment of women."

Note how there are several words there all describing ill feelings towards women. You can display one or none of those and still be a misogynist. When I say none, I mean you can say something like, oh let me pull something out of my hat, comparing all women to your friend's shitty basketball playing skills and equating your implied mad skillz to all men, as if that is an accurate comparison to how all women are to men period. That would be an example of you making a misogynistic comment.

Also Steve will never be good at basketball. No matter how hard he practices, it doesn't matter, because it's in his biological makeup that he tanks at basketball.

He is inferior at playing basketball and because he is inferior he should not be allowed to play.
