Often I see women here characterize TRP/PUA strategies as "manipulative". What exactly makes a strategy "manipulative"? From what I've seen, the only common characteristics in strategies that get labelled as "manipulative" by women here are:

  1. They're intended to get someone(a woman) to behave/feel a certain way

  2. You don't like it

That's it. But countless ubiquitous behaviors could fit that criteria, like for instance, someone may not like how female servers show cleavage to get male customers to tip more. Is that also "manipulative"?
