It's not something that's talked about all that often on PPD, but it seem like a common criticism of TBP and TRP. This thread in particular got quite a bit of traction on TBP the other day:

TRP often criticizes feminism for similar reasons:

To a certain extent, we're all hypocritical. Still, I feel like these criticisms on both sides are valid. The TBP thread highlights hypocrisy at the core of TRP. Certain behaviors in women are labeled "toxic" while those same behaviors in men are encouraged. The manipulation of women is OK, but the manipulation of men is a crime against humanity. On the flip side, there are the legitimate men's rights criticisms that are often ignored by certain internet feminist groups.

Is criticism on the basis of hypocrisy a legitimate counter argument in these cases?
