So…the part you’re criticizing is that we also want to be physically attracted to our romantic partners? You’re advocating for some kind of pseudo “Love is Blind” relationship selection process where instead of not being able to see the other person, we just ignore everything except what they say?

Would you still expect women to want to have sex with those men?

Would men be similarly “blind” to everything except women’s words?

"Pick better men" and "lower your standarts" seem to be opposites. Maybe instead of "lower your standarts" would be "prioritise other qualities" or "adjust your standarts"?

As "lowering my standarts" could be understood as you wanting me to be willing to date alcoholics or abusove people.

Hi im here to strawman 🙋🏼‍♀️ why is the assumption that “lowering standards” let’s say to an uglier or poorer guy; will lead to a better outcome. As if that gives anything away about a persons character.

Like you could just as easily say raise your standards even HIGHER because being alone is always an option lol

Dude women already pair down their matches/likes in a way that benefits us. It’s simple to see that some men are a worse prospect than staying single so obviously most women aren’t going to pick those loser men no matter how much men whine about it. Staying single is not scary compared to wasting time with a loser man. If men want a relationship and sex then it is on them to give women what we want in exchange. Men are not the prize women are. So give women what we want or no sex for you.

I have never ever seen women here use that kind of straw-men arguments here, conversely I see the men/boys here assume that this is what women are looking for. They are not, they are looking for respect and partnerships, as is evident in all the medium to meh looking men in successful relationships.

Women are choosing better partners and when they can't be found they choose to be alone - only to be told to lower their standards.

No, we should ABSOLUTELY NOT LOWER OUR STANDARDS. Because it is way better to be alone than with the wrong partner, let alone someone who is disrespectful and expects you to be his personal servant.

If women are choosing to be alone rather than be with you then you should take a hard look at how you can improve instead of expecting women to lower their standards.

You cannot have it both ways, blame women for being with men who are deceitful and abusive, and then get mad when we do exactly that because higher standards mean you'd have to be/do better.

Focus on being the best version of yourself. Focus on being respectful and never ever expect your partner to put more work into the relationship or home than you are yourself putting in.

Respect and equality is not too much to ask, it should be the baseline.

Stop telling women to lower their standards because they just aren’t going to. A woman will find out if her standards are too high when she 1. Can’t attract men who meet them, or 2. The men she attracts doesn’t give her what she wants. These are things she has to discover for herself. Those metrics you laid out that women should look for may not matter to every woman. To be frank, women are way more likely to remain single if they can’t get what they want in a man. Most women get their love and belongingness needs met from their friends and as far as sex is concerned, there are magnificent dildos on the market that can’t get them pregnant and never go soft in the middle of a session. 😂 Life is the best teacher, everyone finds out if their standards are too high once their standards keep them single, or they remain single, either way…it’s not something you should concern yourself over.

The only problem with men here is they assume women here are attractive (or on any dating/relationship advice sub) based how they talk while 99% are ugly (just like men). It is a bit ridiculous to see women saying "why would I lower my standards"... like if she has any chance with average let alone handsome and rich guys :).

The problem is that women are still the ones complaining about dating assholes and abusers while at the same time THEY CHOOSE THEM. And what they always fail to see is that: how come all those abusers are hot? Like, how often you see a bald, short fat man getting women and abusing them? It doesn't happen!

Is this a joke? Obviously women don't really care as much about this stuff as whether the guy is hot and charismatic. They never will.
